Hello, the Scream randomize button still does not do anything.

Edit: Same is for Shreddage Bass 2

Post

Thanks guys. Scream randomizer has been fixed. I've also tightened up the quad tracking (again!) and made it so that anti-repetition can work to an even greater range of notes... more variation! Check the Advanced tab and increase the retune range knob to access that.

Bass 2 fixes to come later.

Updates on first page.

Multiple CC/keyswitches/mapping types per articulation - possible, but not for this update. There is more work I want to do on artic switching that will require even more overhauling :-)

I'm getting a terrible phase effect on S2 3.16 when using the Stereo Double option. It's even more apparent when the audio is summed to mono.

Post

Can you reproduce/render it? Is anti-rep on or off? Stereo DT has been working flawlessly so far here...

Toggling anti-repetition on or off has no effect on this.

Here is a stereo render:

Here it is summed to mono:

Using two instances of the NKI for stereo operation does not produce this problem.

Silly/weird question: if I map...say...the Mute Single Note articulation to a velocity range of 1 to 5, and that articulation has 5 velocity layers, will each velocity value from 1 to 5 get the exact right velocity layer for that articulation? I'm using velocity ranges of around 20 now, and my ears can't always tell how many velocity layers (different levels of muting, for example) I'm hearing as I increase velocity within that range. I don't want to think that there are samples on my hard drive that NEVER get triggered because I'm using such a small velocity range for that articulation.

And any thoughts of a sampled Muted Tremolo articulation one day?

In theory yes, if you map from 1-5 you will get all the mutes on just those velocities. In practice, it makes life pretty hard to hit those!

OK. Original post has v3.17 for both instruments. Stereo double fixes, portamento fixes, a few other minor bugs cleaned up.

:) I don't play live. I just draw the note into the MIDI editor with the precise velocity needed to get the right sample.

On the other hand, if one was playing live and was able to consistently hit with precisely velocity 3 and never accidentally hit with 2 or 4...that's the person I want performing my brain surgery...whether or not the person's actually a brain surgeon.

Thanks for the responses. I really like all my Impact Soundworks stuff.

Articulation mapping loading does not work between S2 and S2 IBZ. Was it supposed to work between libraries (since it's the same engine)? Some of the articulation mappings were correctly loaded, but not all. It would be nice if they worked cross-library-wise

In Shreddage 2 3.17, portamento samples don't trigger a majority of the time within certain intervals.

Hi,
I still can’t get portamento to work now with V3.17. Once cord portamento works but it disappear quick and then I can’t get it back. Is it the target note how must be in right velocity, when keyswitch is choose the velocity I believe don’t have any reason. Can you explain how the keyswitch should insert before the note or the same grid or after the target note? When I look in the sample folder there no portamento sustain folder only cords portamento folder.

My S2 install is saying that the PortamentoChords samples aren't even there. How do I fix this?
