Hmm $199? For me the old price is $149 and with the 50% offer it's $99.
Maybe this is different for users having single plugins _and_ the v-collection?

As I understand it, $99 is the reduced price for updating your existing V4 instruments. $199 is the reduced price for upgrading to the new V5 collection, including the new instruments.

What's the official word on why the JP-8V was renamed to JUP-8V, Arturia folks?

Did Roland ask you to? Or did the license to the name expire or something?

The extremely confusing part is "Update your VC4 individual softwares"
To me this implies the price to update a single piece of software such as Jupiter8v.
What's slightly more confusing is the button says "Update 50% off" ...50% of 149 is not 99...

Yes but I have no other prices in my account only 9,99$ (singles) and $99 (until July 1st) for the upgrade to V5.

Anyway, it seems to be important before buying the update from a reseller: look into the account.

In fairness... in my case it's the exact opposite. Wish I knew about the JRRShop offer...

Hi all,
99 is the price to update all your VC4 instruments to the new version.
199 is the price to get the full VC5 (including the Synclavier V, Piano V, Stage-73 V, B-3 V and Farfisa V).

Thank you for the clarification.
Perhaps this needs to be clarified on your website however (for the sake of your support helpdesk!)

Aha that actually does make sense. Thanks for the explanation.

Just wondering whether there is anywhere a detailled list of updated and new features, compared to the latest versions in the V Collection 4? Some instruments (such as JUP-8) have a completely new GUI (it seems debatable whether it is a step forward, though), others simply seem to re-scale the old GUI (e.g. Solina, which does not look great at large magnification).

Also, I am wondering which of the bugs, which were still outstanding (see arturia's forum) or feature requests have been implemented. From a quick view at some demos, it seems that not too much has changed.

What is the policy on bug fixes for the old version. Can we still have hope, or is Arturia now working entirely on the new versions?

Cheers,
Martin

Does that mean that a user of Mini that was at V2 in V4, now is Mini V3 in the V5 generation ?

So that Mini V2 users need to pay to upgrade to Mini V3, or something like that ?

Now I feel mildly bummed I didn't pick up The One for $29 a few days ago at audiodeluxe. Only to see now V5 updates with expanded GUIs and (it seems in some cases) sound engines.. would have been 10 dollars to upgrade to v5.. so 40 dollars all in. haha

In any case, happy to see expandable GUIs.. the micro-sized ones on V4 and below were troublesome for me.. :ud:

Well, speaking for myself... $199 sounds okay especially if the Synclavier portion is done as well as it appears that it was. So, I'm thinking of it as getting updated versions of all the plugins from V4 for $99 and then getting what amounts to a Synclavier for $99. The Synclavier part is big and congrats to Arturia for pulling this one off apparently correctly!!!

Does anyone know if the original was 100% digital, or did it contain analog filters, etc.? If it was 100% digital, then this indeed an exciting release.

It means if it was included in V4, you pay the special upgrade pricing (99) to V5 to get all your V4 plugins to V5

If you want the brand new plugins (that weren't in V4) in V5, in addition to the V4->V5 above you pay 199 for that.

You don't have to pay 99 + 199, though I wonder what the upgrade pricing becomes if you pay 99 to upgrade just the current plugins owned and then want the new V5 instruments?
