Actually, both of those have happened.
But you have to filter through the usual flood of forum negatives to see it.

I'm sure Sonar has many happy customers, but when I checked for a phone slot today there were still none available and I've been looking for months.

Although what I find is better than 'improved support',
is when the product has improved enough to rarely need it in the first place.

It's hard on the internet because we want to help people so they can enjoy what we enjoy, that's a good thing...just keep in mind what it must be like to need to troll like that for people like that.

Sonar Platinum works great for me and does everything that I need it to. Cakewalk does have possibly the slowest support ever, but the product works just fine. They are also updating/improving the software every month. If you don't like the software or company move on. I guess some people have nothing better to do than get on here and be negative.

Obviously the "it's fine here" people (which seem to be a fair bit less than people who are upset) are convinced that everything bad that happens is that persons fault and they just like to complain.

Why not just lock these f**king things instead of them droning on? Neither side of the war is going to win. Most of the time the tripe is just locked and then which ever side they are on, won't feel the need to defend themselves

Why not just lock these f**king things instead of them droning on? Neither side of the war is going to win. Most of the time the tripe is just locked and then which ever side they are on, won't feel the need to defend themselves

I don't consider myself at war, and I don't really see a battle either. We can't really argue objectively about an opinion anyway.

I just see it as an ongoing discussion about Sonar as it updates on a monthly (or more frequent) basis -- with varying amounts of hyperbole on both sides. I'm curious if others are really bothered by this thread.

A truer word hath not been spoken, if it's not the persons fault it's either 3rd party plugins or your PC is no good, because SONAR IS the perfect DAW (according to them) as is everything Cakewalk makes, there is no better, just check out the thread about the recent CA2A giveaway, I mean it's OK, I have owned it for years, but there certainly is far better available, but no, not to the brethren, and mention that as some unsuspecting soul did today, and sure enough along comes one of the forum hosts, John, to put him right, unfortunately for that forum host he must have been still half asleep, because he made a comment that Cakewalks CA2A was practically the real thing, yet one of his links had this to say about Cakewalks CA2A

They really do go all out in defense, but unfortunately to often they shoot themselves in the foot in their fanboi fueled rush to prove Cakewalk and SONAR are simply beyond reproach, it's really quite an amusing place to hang and observe. (although at times it can get quite nauseous)

I'm sorry incubus but since "my time" there has been no reason to, if that time comes it will be dealt with (your complaint is duly noted). The fact that it has been left unlocked before that, that is the benchmark I will follow. There is nothing saying you have to continue reading this thread however, you obviously know what to expect.
