I need a wiki to understand your post solipsvs.
Just talking seriously, please do not misunderstand my tone you know that my English is bad.
I do not know what has happened in the past, you and sl23 talking about things that only you and a few others know,I do not know anything,of course i do not want you banned and You are free to do what you want but please try to keep constructive discussions, the chaos is not a right thing, not hijack any topic in the same direction guys, maybe it's too much to ask this?

So the title of this thread is asking about genres, but, is the real question trying to get at what tools that we're missing for those genres, or trying to determine if there is a particular type of user that MuLab appeals to?
It seems that the conversation has drifted considerably from the topic.

If you feed trolls they keep on growing so dont feed them, in other words stop responding to his/her mindless drivel and he/she might just go away or hopefully Jo will ban permanently. I for one am sick and tired of reading inane "advice" from someone who thinks they are some kind of business guru
I will not be rsponding to this any more

He's already been banned once. If he's banned again he'll just create a new account. He's a muzys fanatic yet keeps coming back here?
BTW, John, you really do need to take a step back and look at yourself. You just making yourself look an idiot. However rational you may be, if people can't understand, your ranting won't change that.
Back on topic, not that my music is that great, but I make what I feel like making at the time. This is anything electronic, a broad range. Ambient, trance, hardcore, rave, but not just singular more mixture. Influences ~ Pete Namlook, Aphex twin, Caspar Pound, plus many on kickin' ,vinyl solution, rising high, platypus,
I'm quite happy with mulab how it is, but my needs are basic compared to some here. My main wishes are for workflow improvements and keeping things bug free, thankfully Jo''s on the card!

Which could also be banned, it's not like his message is hard to spot.sl23 wrote:He's already been banned once. If he's banned again he'll just create a new account. He's a muzys fanatic yet keeps coming back here?
I'd be interested in hearing from other people who use the modular aspects for event and modulation processing in significant ways. Someone mentioned an API earlier. I think that it would be cool to be able to define event and modulation blocks. C++ is fine, however, it would also be cool, and potentially more secure/reliable, if, rather than an API, there was a scripting module that supported something like lua or javascript. I get that this can be done with VSTs currently, that's how I do it now, but, having something like ReaScript built in would be cool.
I guess if there's a general wish from me it would be to double down on the modularity aspect and allow the community to help build tools that make mulab more compelling to beginners.
I'm in the process of decomposing some of my Reaktor tools so that they can be used more independently inside of mux, so, at the moment, it's not clear to me what would be more convenient to have in MUX vs what's better accomplished inside of Reaktor. I do know that I often want to separately process a single event stream in different ways and then use that to drive multiple sound sources. It's common, for example, for me to use the midi plugins in cubase for this which, although not modular, allows for a fairly flexible generative scheme.
I was going to hold off until I had more experience with muLab to talk about some of this, but perhaps there are others with similar approaches would like to talk about what hey have found valuable and limiting.

This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here?
