Hi,
TV over monitor since it's the same.
There's many inherent issues in the different models today as I've heard from my guy. When I was looking for a monitor two months ago I asked him about this model and it seems to have no known issues so far.
It was the Samsung UE43KU6070.
Didn't buy one yet because my shitty sound card stopped working and I simply had to go RME before the monitor so I can't say more except for I'll stick with RME for the rest of my life now I guess.

Looks great but the higher resolution will make everything smaller.V0RT3X wrote:Expensive, but completely worth it for the workspace.

I will be happy with the 4k plus I am on a budget.

If you looked at the text on a 32" 2560x1440 monitor and could read it then you will be able to read it on a 49" 4k screen as the text is the same size, the difference is the screen surface area.Scotty wrote:Quick question .... since you are a Cubase user. Do you find that the dialog box text and the midi insert effects are at a readable size? The arranger and mixer are scaleable so that shouldn't be a problem. I am just wondering about the other parts of Cubase which are not optimized for 4K screens.
I imagine a similar scale would be a 27" 2560x1440 to a 40-43" 4k screen also.
A 49" 4k screen will have the same text size as a 24" 1080p screen. A 40" 4k screen will have the same text size as a 20" 1080p screen. etc

Price History
Samsung UN40KU6300 40" 4K UHD HDR LED Smart TV

Samsung UN43KU6300 43" 4K UHD HDR LED Smart TV

Would be great if there were other makes that were as good as this at
the same price. So whichever gets close to the low price I will purchase.
With Super Bowl coming soon there may be some good sales going on.

Samsung UN43KU6300 43" 4K UHD HDR LED Smart TV
http://www.gosale.com/5833415/samsung-u ... -43-4k-uhd
Un-opened box. Still factory sealed?
Seller got it as a gift.
No return privilege and no guarantee as I will not get a receipt
from the store it was purchased.
I will wait a bit longer for a good deal, I suppose.

So, I see this thread has reached it's natural conclusion. I'll still comment. I've been using a SEIKI for about four years now. I'm not recommending it, mind you, just talking about it. At the time that I got this it was $500 and that was super cheap for a 4K TV/monitor and it's definitely outdated and shows its age.
The one thing about really large monitors is that the size brings on different ergonomic problems than you're used to. Especially the height. For me, that's what I'd be thinking about for a new monitor. I think that there's probably quite a bit of value to really wide monitor configurations. I will also probably look at curved monitors when I upgrade this one.

LG is doing a 38" 3840x1600 'wide' (same aspect ratio as the many 34" 3440x1440 monitors) - gets around a lot of the issues with a 43" 3840x2160, much closer to just have a pair of 23" fullHD monitors side by side (but no annoying 'gap')ghettosynth wrote: The one thing about really large monitors is that the size brings on different ergonomic problems than you're used to. Only trouble is right now it's the only game in town, so price is totally mental - but as other brands get access to that panel it'll drop.
