Ah that's a reliefSuloo wrote:It depends on the tool basically. Generally a right click in an empty field in the piano roll gives you a small window to select a tool from.
If you got the pointer tool selected and right click on a note, the usual big right click menu appears.
If you got the pen tool selected and right click hover a note, then the part you hover will be deleted.

Actually, after testing with +12 mod amount, it works in Pro-Q2 as well.Tearing Riots wrote:It works fine with bws' eqs and filters (mod amount +12).
My mistake was in setting the modulation amount too high.
Mate, thanks a bunch for this, you've made my day.
Also, I am never effing leaving this DAW. The flexibility is too good.

@suloo is there a brush or paint future for drawing notes in the piano roll

a brush tool? it's not photoshop
not sure what you try to achieve, but there is the usual pen tool to draw notes.

I requested a similar feature in another 2.0 thread and Klaes said a cool way to implement it would be a new 'multi segment' modulator. E.g. a linear macro 0-127 goes into the multi-segment modulator, which has e.g. 3 separate 'curves'. 0-42 on the initial linear macro would traverse the first curve (which could arbitrarily go from e.g. 0-127 exponentially), 42-84 would traverse the second curve (which could just be flat at 0-0) and 84-127 would traverse a third curve (which could be an exponential decrease from 127-0).FunkEater wrote:In general it would be great to be not only able how much modulation should be applied to a given parameter but also when. The macro knobs for example map always the full range to the mapped parameter to modulate it than in the defined range. If we would be able to specify a start and end of modulation on the macro knob to we could do pretty complex stuf. Novation does something like this on the circuit for example.
This would fit well within Bitwig 2.0s modulator framework and would enable a pretty decently arbitrary level of control for non-linear one knob macros.
Obviously you could then feed any other modulation signal into this multi-segment modulator - create absurd and confusing LFOs! Create absurd and confusing keyboard mappings! I really hope they implement it (or something similar) - modulation of modulation is v. fun to experiment with.

Trust me, without this feature it would be a turn off for many hiphop producers.
Its called brush tool bcos all u need is one click and drag to dray in many notes unlike d pencil tool which u'll need to draw each notes one step @ a time.

I don't understand why most other Daws can only insert one note at a time when drawing into the piano roll

Hi all beta tester.... Having fun? I bet you do!
But is multi editing fixed? ( i still dont know if the behavior needs to be this way?)
So when you got 3 tracks selected and when moving a clip arranger, it wont select/visualize all tracks all of a sudden? And if the order is now constant?
3 more weeks....... 3 more weeks, sigh. Cant wait!

Suloo! You made my day! Ooooooh yes!
One feature regarding to multi editing i hope for.... But that one i want to surprise myself in about 3 weeks!
I dont want to know it all. When changelog is up and pop myself a beer and read all the goodies.
I bet there are a LOT of "little" thingies in there overall that are not that big or game-changing, but will do in workflow.
Those "little" things in life! (feel like a little child again waiting for santa)

Yesterday Beta 1 was released. Now the number of testers will be increased in steps.
It's always a balance between too many (you don't want 500 people posting the same bug) and too little (as the beta evolves, you want to find more specific problems that may happen to less people).
Cheers,
Tom

Hi Tom, are you sure that there is a beta out there already? I am waiting for that invite impatiently.ThomasHelzle wrote:Yesterday Beta 1 was released. Now the number of testers will be increased in steps.

If so, are closed beta testers allowed to share content(video or pics) online? Or at least disclose any info?
I am just wondering what are these many little things that got fixed..
Peace
Hassan
