I just wonder. How come they didn't have the idea to rename T to Re-acktion

A fair point. I'm going to evaluate those two now that I've got a bit of time, particularly as Bliss seems to be on special offer for the next 48 hours.mevla wrote:Redux is a sampler.rhydermike wrote:I'm interested in that sampler. As far as I can see, Linux doesn't have a proper sampler plugin with GUI controls for ADSR etc.
Bliss is also a sampler
Both have extensive sample manipulation. I usually use Redux/Renoise as I haven't gotten around Bliss yet. Redux/Renoise is around since quite some time, meaning they ironed out bugs and built on features and functionality.

Fascinating. Glad the mixer can be turned onoff, I loe recording the way it is now but for final mixing, the dedicated window would be a treat, I think.

Very curious to see how the new mixer handles 1, 2, 3 or even 0 volume plugins. Woody kept referring to it as modular but I didn't notice any examples of that. Modularity conflicts with the visual regularity that makes a horizontal mixer simply effective.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Thanks for the comments. I've plumped for Redux, and I'm just getting started on learning it. So far it's looking good. I'll probably upgrade to Waveform, but there's some uncertainty about what the sampler is going to offer on release, and I need something that I can use right away.rhydermike wrote:A fair point. I think it's fair to say that whatever sampler will be provided as part of Waveform, and not as a distinct product, will not have the rich feature set developed thru the years by Renoise (same technology in the Redux plugin) in the tracker community.rhydermike wrote:Thanks for the comments. Now this said, I'd be interested in the Waverazor though, as it offers a different approach to sample manipulation. Anyone know if this will be offered on Linux also ? In other words perhaps, was it made to also run on a Rasberry Pi ?
Speaking of samples, is Waverazor producing acktionsamples that can be used fully in Biotek ? If not, will there be a kit to make our own acktionsamples ?
