So who plays synth in Blur?

Albarn: Vocals
Coxon: Guitar
James: Bass
Rowntree: Drums

For a "synth" band, weird that no-one of the main members are listed as keyboard players.

Post

They are not a 'synth' band.... they might have the odd one in the odd track.

Albran plays piano, so assume he plays the odd synth...

Yeah, you are probably right.

I was under the false impression that the KVR collective could actually provide some correct info.

You have already got lots of names so far (many of which I have never even heard of :hihi: ).

Post

Not much lately.
Every decade 50-90 bunch of great names, in different (rock)genres.

For me most interestings "brit waves" were
Beatles/Kinks, Brit blues, Glam, Bowie, Prog, Queen, Punk, Kate Bush/Peter Gabriel, R&B/Doctor Feelgood (Wilko Johnson period), Sheffield heritage, Brit soul.

Early 70's was amusing, think just e.g.
Suzi Quatro, Mud, or the T.Rex (see latest especially line dance 1:15 ->).

Numanoid has just sent me a pm to tell me he's reported my post. The only one in this thread.

Okay then, Spice girls, Abba and Oasis :hihi:

Once again, britpop is NOT brit pop.
So if it was pre-britpop, I would say Lieutenant Pigeon.

But really, The Divine Comedy were good, melodic, funny. I went to see and hear saw Neil Hannon recently : a great show.

In fairness, why only focus on the posts of people who just enjoy winding you up?
Why not instead respond, or at least acknowledge, the posts of people who engaged with this thread seriously? It'd keep the thread a lot more positive for starters.
And if you're going to sarcastically and bluntly clump together those of us who ''provided some correct info'' with those who didn't, you're just going to piss people off.

According to Wikipedia, there were only about 15 Britpop bands.

Curiously, Texas and Duran Duran were listed. That was odd.
An idiot on Set Theory:

Yep, that's the difference, there was more empty space in Brit pop :hihi:

But what if you talk rather than write about it?
