I really like TAL products, but to me this is just missing that one feature that would make it special in some way - like SAMPLER with its very interesting stretch/density and DAC sections... There's just nothing here that hasn't been done at least five times already in other synths, some of which I already own...

Are the cables shielded? 8)

On a serious note, say, you link the LFO with the osc frequency with one of those cables, where do you set the modulation amount, so to speak?

Anyway, looks like he lurks on KVR and finally made this modern version of Noizemaker :)

Looks very promising, not too many features, but all important ones. And with dedicated controls :) No PW via the mod matrix and such nonsense :tu:

The only thing I am not so fond of is the GUI, looks gloomy like the sampler GUI. The U-NO-LX on the other hand has such a nice, eye-friendly GUI...

You can let an oscillator bypass the filter. When you completely bypass the 2 filters, you get a very bright component in your sound with the expected waveforms. So, when you let an oscillator bypass filter1, it's advised to let that oscillator be processed by filter 2 to tame the high frequencies. If you bypass both filters, you get harsh sounds.
I guess we'll still have to see what the potential of this synth is.
I'm still much more a fan of the concept of Zebra and the filter implementation in Zebra.
Off course Zebra is in a different price range.
Isn't it the same with all synths that enable disabling the filter?

When you make a connection a knob pops up to set amount.

Ah OK. And when you want to change it later on, you have to hover over or click on the cable?

Any screenshot of the effects section?

Looks a little bit like Bazille.. Don't know if its worth it to download the demo when I get home

Post

I don't like to download beta stuff, either.
I am sure the sound is good and as long as everything works the way it should, the screenshots alone tell me most things I want to know.

The good thing about TAL is that the synth will get better and better over time thanks to frequent updates :)

Thank you. Looks perfect, just the right amount of controls :) The EQ looks a bit meager, but then again, there is the usual HP filter in addition to it...

No, and i am not talking about disabling the filter. I am talking about dedicated routing controls per oscillator per filter. How many synths do you know that have that feature? :clown:

Doesn't matter in most cases (linear FX, right?).

lots of people saying it lacks anything special or just the same thing thats been
done many times, thats true. but the strength im finding in this are the smooth controls and ease of use allowing lots of joy tweaking it. its like all cars are designed to get you from here to there, but some handle better than previous ones.
HW SYNTHS [KORG T2EX - AKAI AX80 - YAMAHA SY77 - ENSONIQ VFX]
HW MODULES [OBi M1000 - ROLAND MKS-50 - ROLAND JV880 - KURZ 1000PX]
SW [CHARLATAN - OBXD - OXE - ELEKTRO - MICROTERA - M1 - SURGE - RMiV]
DAW [ENERGY XT2/1U RACK WINXP / MAUDIO 1010LT PCI]

It‘s nice but i also would say there are other gold standards in about the same price league or less.
It‘s great and sounds good but maybe i‘m to biased now about better filter design and included FX.
