You must admit that he was gone for quite a while. I was impressed.

I think I might start regularly posting threads that say "That's it! You're all a bunch of fucksticks! I'm staying!" just to let people know that I'm very dramatic, but realistic. :P

last time I left there was no big woo-haa...

its because I had no choice, my user name got f**ked, my internet got f**ked, and was moving into a new house, new building... etc...

The 2 times before that, I just got incredibly pissed off because I was frustrated.... with myself mostly.

any other other Bob Mould fans on the list?

can't explain why I've this urge to play "next time that you leave"...

Yes. We all love Bob.

I like the Husker stuff better than Bob's solo work, or stuff with Sugar

but of course there are some great tunes from all corners of his career, I love "The Act we Act" and 'Man on the Moon', and there were some great tunes on Grey Sheets of Rain (?)

still, I'm a Husker fan from the old days, and there's been no Bob Mould (or Grant Hart) output like that golden era

In future i reckon everyone should just respond "if at all" with "ok cya then" to these kinda posts and not give the attention seekers their fix.

Like Robert sed announcing your leaving is crap.

I never heard of this guy , he supposed to be great of something ? why are you all bothered ?

Cya Mr.Nobody Special I Ever Heard Of.

First of all Robert was sorta joking about that. Not about wanting him to leave :D, but about the announcing it part.

And sencond, just cuz you havent heard of him doesnt mean he's a nobody. Atleast he's been around here for a while and tryed to help some folks with their tech problems. A better question is who in the f**k are you??

Cya Mr.I show up out of nowhere and start instigating things even though I dont know what I'm talkin about but I wanna look like a tough guy infront of the Tracktion peeps.

Get a clue. For what it's worth, HERE is the post in question.

I actually appreciated the rant, because it WOULD be nice if people would say something positive about the Mackie deal for a change; however, I felt the cursing got in the way of his point and ruined what would otherwise have been a valuable contribution to the thread. That's just one perspective, but my reply was:
Jeeziz Rack Bitz... I just apologized on another thread for being fervent, but you take the "fuckin" cake, dude. :D

Fight the good fight. I agree with what you're saying. Couldn't you use a few less expletives? ;)

Greg
Dare to compare the abuse that he was slinging at people not only in THAT thread but in this thread as well, and I hope you have the intelligence to understand that he's not a victim here. Rather, he continued to insult other people directly, and became progressively more verbally abusive.

It seems to me that in a COMMUNITY, which is the "situation" I was referring to, all members should make a certain amount of effort to make each other feel comfortable and welcome. I tried to be diplomatic about what would make ME feel better, and he had the option to compromise. I never told him to shut it, I never told him he had to stop swearing altogether (and besides, I don't have the authority so I wouldn't even deign).

I'm awfully sorry that someone's "God-given right" to curse violently, insult people, and carry on with abusive rants has been infringed upon. And ya know, I wonder how sympathetic you'd be after all of his stupid ranting about fascism and Hitler if one of the people he's mouthing off to turned out to be a Jewish person who didn't appreciate the comparison.

And, this time used appropriately when nothing else will quite do:

For f**k's sake, what kind of shit are people smoking to think he's a victim?

me too. as you say, lots of good tunes here and there but nothing to really match prime Huskers. Though the two solo Hart LPs are wonderful imho.

Not a fan of Bobs current dance/club stuff then? ;)
