Very excited about this! As it turns out, I've obviously missed all the updates (old school reliance on email), but I was starting to wonder if U-HE had downed tools after Hive 2. Quite the opposite, as it turns out - big updates to Zebra AND Uhbik? I'm in, take my money! Oh, right, free updates - well, thanks!
NB this may or may not be true. Probably not...
Zebra 3 is myth, sort of part way between an inside joke and a meme. It goes Zebra 2.9, Zebra 2.9.5, Zebra 2.9.6, Zebra 2.9.1 (regression to be released on 01 April for funzies), Quagga, Zebra 4
NB this may or may not be true. Probably not...

Of course we could still do Zebra 2.X, 2.XI etc. without breaking "alphanumeribetical" order

That's always good advice in general, yes.jamiescryin wrote: Thu Nov 21, 2019 6:26 pm So old backup presets first, then upgrade, if old sounds disappear, just reload them right ?
In this particular case, if you have favourites in the "Tenth Anniversary" folder, you could move it to the User part of the browser first, then update, then move it back to its original place.
Those "Tenth Anniversary" presets were incorporated into the main category folders for this update.

2.10.85 ..., ...., .....
sounds like my productions project names!
..now about serious questions!
1 - Will who buys zebra 2 now get an upgrade offer to zebra3?
2 - Does the extra 30% discount to current U-He product owners apply to zebra2 HZ? (from what i read i assume it does.... Just trying to get a confirmation)

This feature was added between the Zebra2 2.8 and ZebraHZ 2.8 updates.Elektronisch wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2019 9:25 am I just noticed that in Zebra HZ there is also DX and Smear, was that there already or its somehow linked to Zebra 2?
That's why ZebraHZ already had this feature.
And now it's finally added to the regular Zebra version as well.

ZebraHZ has more matrix slots and also the Diva filters, plus per-voice-compressor and a resonator (and the HZ GUI is very handsome looking with nice synthwave coloration). I don't need the presets though, and for the whole package, the crossgrade seems to be to expensive to me. Lot of people here bought it. I am still waiting for Zebra3.

Mmh, the GUI slugginess in Zebra 2.9 definitely increased here. I might go back to 2.8 then.

Hmmm, could you elaborate a bit more? We're pretty sure that drawing on Windows is now almost twice as fast as it was in the previous version. On macOS X (10.12 and up) we brought back hardware acceleration for most of it, and the things that don't have hardware acceleration are not in Zebra.Hanz Meyzer wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2019 10:13 amMmh, the GUI slugginess in Zebra 2.9 definitely increased here. We also brought back extra smooth knob/fader moves during mouse interaction.
Hence, I'm not sure what's sluggish now - we wouldn't know what to fix...

If you have a coupon code, you can use it towards any u-he synth, effect or soundset. Including The Dark Zebra. The only things the coupons won't work for are bundles, merch and transfer tokens.tasty tatsyn wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2019 9:22 am Does the extra 30% discount to current U-He product owners apply to zebra2 HZ?
