Beginner producers, what are your 2 biggest challenges?

Might as well just walk around blind folded after being spun around and/or drunk and high. It'll be just as effective!

The number one complaint I hear and have read from people trying to mix their tracks... "Why does my mix sound quiet?" Pushing faders doesn't fix this.

Seriously, low-volume track balancing is an excellent foundation for a mix. It forces you to use your brain/ears and focus on what is too prominent or missing altogether. This topic is for "Beginner Producers" so my advice was on target.

Ozone, Waves L3 or another maximizing limiter can make everything loud. That's a different topic... You don't find faders useful when mixing?
