Okay, I've been following this thread and now I'm interested. Like Robert I'm a C programmer. I write embedded firmware for DSP and microcontrollers. I have been interested in undertaking some audio projects and anything with a UI. this looks like a good place to start. I am going to download JUCE and the Compiler you guys suggested and start from there. Hopefully I can catch up.

Many thanks Robert - I had given up on using JUCE with DevC++ (I was trying to make it work w/ DMC) until I spotted your post.
I followed your instructions and it worked like a charm!!!

I know this isn't really the time or place, but are you intending that there be live VSTs or just the ability to render them on/to a .wav file?
If there isn't going to be support for live VSTs would it be feasible to have an output destination that interfaces directly with senderella? (or something similar)
Would be great for editing clips and previewing the edits without having to shut down tracktion.

I had envisaged at least the early versions of the editor as being standalone.
It would be theoretically possible to wrap the whole editor into some kind of Tracktion plug (perhaps utilising Jules' extended format for intercative filters. I'll keep it in mind as I spec the code, but I doubt I'll add support for it in any early versions. I'm not sure how many people are going to help out with this, and it is going to be a huge job for one programmer who has little enough free time as it is.

IIRC some of my webhosting companies' servers are hosted in Fl, so it is possible they are having problems...
