Sorry! But that’s the best I can give you.
I can say that the upgrade with Waves Central was totally trouble free.
More anecdotal observations that the v13 native ARM versions are less CPU intensive, in this thread on the site formerly known as Gearslutz.
Waves 13 are Apple Native now...definite reduction in CPU usage...
I updated some of my Waves plugins covered from WUP to 13 and notice that performance are improved around 30% respect to the same version for Intel in Rosetta. All in Bitwig 4.0.4 on Mac Mini M1 16GB ram....

I totally agree, this is just a joke. We've now had 2 full version upgrades where about 5% of the plugins in the Mercury bundle have new HiDPI interfaces. Are the older plugins just abandoned now? The interfaces are simply too small on a 4k screen and just look a blurry mess when scaled.

Some of the older plugins have incredibly simple interfaces - seriously, how long would it take a graphics designer to create new hi-res images - a few hours?

Come on Waves, the WUP scheme is already a laughing stock - if you're not going to actually update anything other than change the version number then really, what's the point?

Exactly. I was expecting Waves V13 to be primarily focused on Hi-DPI interfaces for majority of their (important, best sellers, etc.) plugins. People would have happily paid for the upgrade and would even have forgotten what they did with V12. Instead, OS support became the main thing. Damn these new OSs!

What bugs me the most about Waves plugins is that they have separate stereo and mono versions still in 2021, and that you can only install them on 2 computers (which is already the worst licensing policy in the industry) and they take one of them away if your WUP is out of date. I only bought two plugins (and got a 3rd for “free”) and I’m already looking for a way out.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

If Waves no longer have access to the original images in the older plugins so they can be re-rendered, there are many very high quality upscaling algorithms they could employ which do a very good job. I don't know why they didn't just include an upscaling algorithm in the plugin at the very least and just do it dynamically as a stop-gap instead of just resizing the images in to a blurry mess.
A bit fried in the higher freqs

Exactly, I'm at v12 and I guess, I won't be upgrading to v13. v15 more like it.

I do use MV2 and ADT pretty much on every mix. Love 'em.

Look for jinotsuh's post on page 2.
That didn't work for me. What I ended up doing was reinstall all my Waves plugins.

Great. After updating to v13 my USB device is not recognized anymore as a license device and appears under disconnected devices. I contacted support, let's hear what they have to say. So far, I'm not happy

Waves answered my support request pretty quickly. It appears to be a known issue and they have provided me with a preview build of Waves Central that should fix the issue (I haven't tried it yet). So, thumbs up for the swift support.
