My prediction: is not about looping but a new parameter modulation system.

Like Bitwig? ...I wonder how they would do that without racks?Danilo Villanova wrote: Fri Sep 23, 2022 12:39 pm My prediction: is not about looping but a new parameter modulation system.
I am a big time Bitwig user so anything clips or modulation will probably be wasted on me. I suspect they will find it hard to compete with Bitwig in that area, but may be a 'nice to have' for people who just dabble with that type of thing...but I suspect most 'experimental' musicians are leaning towards Bitwig or Live and most people see S1 (Cubase etc) as a more linear workflow with strong midi and audio editing.

First rule of KVR: never argue with BONESBONES wrote: Fri Sep 23, 2022 4:24 amThe right-click menus are contextual, so they are meant to show different options, depending where you click. As for settings, I've not noticed them being anywhere but where I'd expect to find them.mgw38 wrote: Fri Sep 23, 2022 3:43 amWell, let’s just say right clicking in Studio One is always a bit of an adventure. And the settings menus are scattered all over the place.
Second rule of KVR: never argue with BONES
Third rule of KVR: definitely never argue with BONES
That being said: this is exactly the point. There are quite a few instances where the contextual menus are not entirely in context. Or more often, they actually lack items that would be in context.

Polyphonic parameter modulation system AND CLAP support to go with it! Presonus was on the list of interested parties upon CLAP's release. Do I think it's that? 30% chance. But I'd be blown away if they did.Danilo Villanova wrote: Fri Sep 23, 2022 12:39 pm My prediction: is not about looping but a new parameter modulation system.
Presonus would definitely have some interest in getting out from underneath's Steinberg's dominance on plugin formats so CLAP would clearly be of interest to them.

That would be interesting. Right now, Bitwig stands alone in terms of modulation.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Fri Sep 23, 2022 1:20 pmPolyphonic parameter modulation system AND CLAP support to go with it! Maybe all of S1 6 instruments will be fully MPE?

You guys are all wrong. The “6” is the number of strings on the new line of Presonus “Fendercaster” guitars.
Logic Pro | LUNA Pro | OB-X8 | Prophet 6 | OB-6 | Rev2 | TEO-5 | Pro 3 | SE-1X | Minitaur | Deepmind 12D | Slim Phatty | TR-1000 | Analog RYTM mk2 | Digitakt 2 | TD-3 MO | TD-3 | Maschine+

I heard that if you make electronic music with Studio One 6 the CEO of Fender will come to your studio and smash a guitar over your head, killing you instantly

I expect all the subtext to say that Studio One 6 is the same great release as was conceived before the acquisition. That Fender's only impact (so far) is to allow Presonus to keep doing what they do best. The suggestion that we look forward to future integration between the brands will be made. I don't think CLAP will be part of it yet.
