You cannot go overboard with regards to BF LiquidSonics sales.
It's an Illusion.

Yeah, I'm trying to maximize my buying power and possible discounts. I want to pick up Tai Chi, but would possibly get something else as well if I were able to get an additional discount. Not a huge deal if not, I'd just wait until the next sale or whatever.
Yes, you get voucher immediately and can use in the next order.
Also voucher do stack. so to maximize your discount, buy one product per order. it's tedious but the reward is great.
I paid $60 something for the Cinematic Room Professional with all the vouchers stacked.

1) it's algorithmic

2) it has by far the biggest discount (70%)

3) Despite being called "Lite" it's already mightily powerful and versatile, so the name is rather misleading
(I think they should have rather called them "Tai Chi" and "Tai Chi Qiáng")

4) It sounds amazing and brings something new to the table
I am demoing Tai Chi Lite and share the same thoughts. Almost no need to buy the $99 Standard version unless you are really sure what you will be doing with it. Lite version with all its feature should actually be called Standard and the Standard one as Pro or something.

For $29, I am finding it really hard to resist Tai Chi Lite despite having tons of reverb plugins (like we all do). It has a distinct sound while still not being very obvious, so I believe it could be used for all tracks that don't need to have very noticeable reverb in the mix.

I am demoing Seventh Heaven (non Pro) too, but not sure if I really need it. It is just me or this non Pro version does not have arrows to change presets? Also, I noticed changing the presets does not change the parameters. Using it with FL Studio on Windows 11. I won't buy it if these issues are real. Definitely don't seem to be a demo limitation or anything like that.

Had the same question after reading about their loyalty discounts yesterday, so thanks to both of you. :tu:

If I were to hypothetically buy Tai Chi Lite, Cinematic Rooms Standard and Seventh Heaven Standard, I believe the order of buying them should be Cinematic Rooms -> Seventh Heaven -> Tai Chi Lite for best discounted price. Is that correct?

https://www.liquidsonics.com/upgrades/

Cinematic Rooms: 20% discount coupon
Tai Chi Lite: 10% discount coupon
Seventh Heaven: 5% discount coupon

EDIT: Eh... it's actually a little less to do it Cinematic Rooms --> Tai Chi Lite --> Seventh Heaven for a total discount of $20.50. Math is hard. And it's early here, so hopefully that's right.

Initially, I thought Tai Chi, Seventh Heaven, then Cinematic Rooms, because you'd want the most discount on the most expensive items, but although it's close, the order above wins by a small amount.

Thanks. :) I was a bit confused about how the discount worked. I might only get the Tai Chi Lite and call it a day, though.

Does anyone know if the ilok licenses are locked together as a group when you buy a bundle from their site? I assume so but thought I’d check.

I watched Tai Chi (full/standard) walkthrough video and now it makes me want it more than Lite. It's not as daunting as I originally thought and the advanced controls actually seem to be very useful. Also, there are 200 more presets than Lite, which should make things easier.

Buying Lite first and then upgrading to the Standard version using the 10% loyalty discount will provide a $7 saving compared to buying the Standard version outright for $99. It will also give some time to make the upgrade decision, as there are about 11 days still left in the sale.

This might be the most I would be spending for a single effect plugin ever, but I think it deserves it. After checking out demos of other LS/RF plugins, I think Tai Chi alone should be more than enough for me. It sounds the most impressive to me and also the GUI is absolutely gorgeous.

TC is a great general purpose reverb with a "vintage" flair. Lots of flexibility and depth. Lustrous Plates can do better plates, though. If you want to use 3rd party IRs plus get the M7 and Lexicon IRs as part of it, Reverberate 3 is a fantastic deal.

HDCart and Seventh Heaven are emulations, so, unless you want/love the originals, they aren't "needed".

Cinematic Rooms is more realistic (but can also have some color) and beautiful to my ears - but can't get wild like TC.

And then there's Illusion.

Generally speaking, the full versions are noticeably better than the standard ones - even if you work in stereo rather than surround.

This guy isn't my favorite presenter, but he does a good job of giving a detailed overview of Tai Chi

Hey everyone, not to put a stop to the discussion, but I decided that I had enough vintage digital reverbs (I've got nearly all the UAD models, as well as the Lexicon ones) so I went with Cinematic Rooms Pro. It seemed like a great all-rounder, which is what I was after.

Definitely fills in a “gap” the vintage ones don’t cover. But if the vintage ones allow muting the early reflections you can always mute the tail on CRP and use the ERs there and a vintage tail sound. And so on. Mix and match.

having enough reverbs is a myth, same goes for granular synths and FX

Thanks for explaining the differences, it helps. :)

I am indeed going to ignore HDCart and Seventh Heaven.

Cinematic Rooms might be worth considering, but then the overall cost will quickly escalate. Tai Chi full version sounds like a good all-rounder for me and I like it's sound and user interface. And as you said, it sounds more of a general purpose reverb for use in song mixes. I will check out the above video tonight.

By the way, what are all the "vintage reverbs" people are mentioning? Guess it's about clean/realistic sounding vs colourful reverbs?

So, for example, one would choose Cinematic Rooms for a cleaner sounding reverb and compliment it with Tai Chi for a more colourful/vintage sounding reverb?

Did you rule out Tai Chi with this reasoning? It isn't "vintage digital" at all.
