Q: Will there be discounts and when?

A: The prices of several older products have been reduced on our website.
Since a year we offer sound and big bundles. They come with a big discount.
There are currently no plans to change the upgrade prices. All upgrades are fully optional and we introduced the possibility to easily download the installers of older versions from the website.
There are currently no plans from our side for special Black Friday offers in general. Meanwhile people simply get bombed with too many Black Friday offers.
Instead, we will offer special discounts for customers distributed among the year. You will receive links with discounts with our newsletter.
I plan to do a discount for warlock next month.

Q: Should I update to Nemesis3?

A: This is of course your own decision and it depends on your personal needs. A detailed description is availabe here:

Q: Do i need to upgrade?
A: No. The update is fully optional. You can stick with your current version. All old versions are downloadable from the website. They will continue to work. We do not use a cloud or subscription system.

Q: Will there be Nemesis4?
A: No.

Q: Will there be new products from Tone2?
A: No. Just updates.

Q: For whom do you recommend the upgrade?
A:
- If you're interested in 100 new patches

- For Mac users. The interface looks dramatically better there

- For users with big screens (WQHD, 4k)

- If you want the highest possible sound-quality

- If you want to support the company

Q: For whom do you not recommend the upgrade?

A: First of all I am perfectly fine if someone does not upgrade. I do maintain the synths mainly for my own passion and the love for music. I will continue with this as long as I enjoy it.
I recommend to skip the update if you are PC user who is just into sound-design and uses a small screen. There might be too few for you that's exciting.

I loved my Nord Modular and am 100% with you with this. However sales won't be. Modulars are too complex too handle for most people.

Is it because of the UI? Maybe look at Fathom, Phaseplant, and Karma FX's synth inspirations.

There was one for a manual subscription on our website. Sadly we had to remove it because we noticed that hackers and trolls tried to abuse it (but failed).
It might return one day.

Will upgrade Nemesis 3 this month end hope my pay day comes faster. But I don't know why the upgrade price for Electra3 is > Nemesis 3.

which one from tone2 would be the most interesting one "for me", mostly beeing into "realtime-play" patches, and in that sense also into "realtime-play sounddesign" ?
( i´m not into production work, i play everything realtime from keyboard)

The update for Electra 3 is bigger and was more work than Nemesis 3.

I recommend that you first take a look at Icarus 2 and Electra 3. Then Nemesis 3 and Saurus 4.
You can morph most patches with the modwheel.

Is the Warlock sale active yet?

I upgraded to Nemesis 3 a while ago. How does one know when a new version is released, considering that the full version of Nemesis 3 is not available in the Download section?

The latest version is v3.0.2 PC and v3.0 Mac. You can check out which version you are using by clicking on File->show version info in the plugin.

Nemesis 3.0.2 (PC)

Fixes:

- The Bass patches were missing in the installer of the PC full version (only v3.0). The Mac or Demo versions are not affected. Upgrades are also not affected.
- Fixed a typo in the about box where "Electra" was displayed. It is just a cosmetical issue and can be ignored. It has no effect at all on the functionality of the plugin.

Manual installation:

1) Download the missing patches:
https://www.tone2.com/update/Nemesis3_Bass_sounds.zip

2) Go to the VST plugin directory where you installed nemesis

3) Copy and paste the content of this zip file to the Nemesis_sounds directory.
The correct path looks like this .../Nemesis_sounds/Bass/2 Fat Uncle MF.fxp
