Albino was my one of my very first digital synths back in mid 2000's when I started using VST instruments.

For pure nostalgia purposes, it might be fun to see it resurrects but objectively, sound wise if they don't change anything I seriously doubt it can compete against the monster synths we are used to now such as Dune, Pigments, Rapid, Vital, Phase Plant, Hive & etc. The filters, effects and even the digital wavetable oscillators just won't cut it.

True vintage softsynth classic. They don't make them like that anymore.
If they don't go all out in making a truly faithful emulation soundwise , what ist even the point.

I find a problem with Albino 3 sound is that it sounds like there is some frequency reduction added or processed internaly at low Khz. It just doesnt sound clean, full. More like 128kbbs mp3 file.

Again, quoting the newsletter: "Go2-X will be the upgrade of our very popular Go2 synthesizer with stunning new features added! Sure, it will still be very easy to use and remain unique in its concept. "

I guess it will be an expansion of Go2, but nothing too drastic since the upgrade will be just "25 bucks"

For how much? Seems like an expensive 'upgrade'. 49 bucks probably means 49 EURO.

We'll probably get some more information tomorrow as Rob usually does a live stream on his YouTube channel on Thursdays.

I'll try to catch it when it's live as he does read and respond to some of the real time comments during the stream. Would be a good opportunity ask some questions about the Albino Legend and Go 2 X projects.
