they do get upset, when they switch it on, and your microphone stand flies across the room and smashes the machine.
or when you forget a piercing and it rips your nipple off.

I really don´t like "that".
It goes so far that i thought my setup is broke.

I hear it too. I also heard it in someone's preset preview video of Noctua on YouTube. I suspect some of the 'found sound' objects used as the basis of these sounds are just this way. Not everything has it though.

Found the waveshaper. Disabling it is not doing it.

Yeah, I hear it in many patches too. I ended up saving out some of the raw samples to check them and in fact this distortion is present in the raw files. So it seems that this is how he recorded his sounds and it's intentional to have this kind of character.

It does seem a bit much to also have sends for layer-level diode clippers as well as a program layer diode clipper in the fx section (these are labelled 'drive on the UI) plus more distortion available via fx chains (available under the 'mood' section on the UI). The programming is a bit shonky because on some patches turning off drive in the fx section will result in a big volume increase. I won't be too critical though because it's free and is clearly not produced by a full team like normal releases and some patches are good and vibey.

still, not sure if my setup is broke or not.
but loading other instruments it seems fine.
Never had such feels bevore. ( the "is something broke ?" feel)
Anybody else is hearing this ........the way i do, like something was wrong ?

it´s like i´m afterwards not really able to hear if other instruments do sound ok, or not. Or if they "sizzle" aswell.
Never experienced anything like that bevore. ( that "imprint" aspect)

It is very generous by VT to publish such a work freely available... So kudos for his work. Personally though I am not a fan at all of sample based libraries in general. Samples should be only used for catching reallife instruments and drums maybe. So I would prefer a preset library instead, using actual (realtime) synthesis. But this is my individual opinion only...

Samples are also good for found sounds though and those created through a process of experimentation and happy accidents with real objects, as I think these are. tbh I prefer my 'real' instruments to be physically modelled, so for me this is the most authentic use of sampling.

I like the ghost-like quality of some of these sounds, like there is someone whispering from the ether
