I think I changed my mind when this thing, instead of "half a year of uninterrupted work to finish" became "two years of uninterrupted work", well, with a few interruptions, dragging it out 4 or 5 years. I pretty much spent every calm day on it since covid started. It was a very basic thing before, and then it turned into the most complex, yet highly enjoyable piece of code I've ever written.

I spent all other times (those with a sense of duty on something else or where things needed me to move forward) working on MFM2, Filterscape, Uhbik, Satin (this is super high priority now), hardware.

Better WAV I guess. Serum, Vital, Pigments or PhasePlant or any other modern mumbo-jumbo consume WAV easily. 🤓
Serum-compatible means a WAV file with up to and including, 256 frames with 2048 samples/frame. Wavetables in this format will generally work in most synths like Serum, Phase Plant, Hive, Bitwig and Ableton Wavetable synths etc. They are different to say, Dune's .wt format or the format used in Rapid, in both cases, users have to import files for the synths to analyse/convert before they can be used.

Yes. We call it Hive compatibility for some reason, but Serum loads them just fine when added to its library (no need to import or convert first).
actual lol.
bold emphasis mine.

For the record, I did see and understand this, but Urs didn't explain what Hive/Serum format actual means, hence my going a little deeper for @dayjob 's benefit :)

edit: no disrespect against Urs intended

Congrats Urs!

One feature suggest i dont see in any other VSTs only in serum, Drag a preset as a wave file from the plugin itself, its so handy and creativity inspiring feature that makes me that all synths would have this :)

Not sure if this is where we’re headed. I’ll watch the video after we land in LA.

One thing to keep in the back of your mind is that Zebralette has a fundamentally different approach to waveform generation than Serum or Vital. It’s based on splines instead of samples, so it’s more like vector graphics (Illustrator) than pixel graphics (Photoshop).

Each have their strengths and disadvantages.

That said, we have plenty of ideas for reusing stuff.

This video is an example how this works, its basicly on the fly rendering. Lets say i like the preset i have made or the one that i loaded, i press a key i like like i would regulary (i suppose sound goes in to buffer at that time) and i just drag the icon from the synth to the daw playlist and vuola - sample rendered. Basicly it jumps over the need to draw a piano roll note and render it :)

I use this feature more often in serum then i thought i would. Its amazing. :) btw just in general feature suggestion, from it any of the synths would benefit, would it be Bazille, Diva, Hive, Z3, you name it :)

p.s. have a safe flight!

Interesting idea. Maybe post it in one of the feature request threads, then I can ask about it. It is off topic and not pertinent to Zebralette 3 at NAMM.

Excuse me, we don't take kind to sensible nonsense like that around here
