BTW, Just breaking an MIT Professor gets murdered right before releasing landmark plasma secrets...

And this has been going on for decades on end... What not conspiratorial enough?

Is your argument that a homicide of someone involved in clean energy research makes the idea of mass programming via trap beats more viable?

tbh, i dont doubt that.

given the music/lyrics, we are looking at a person, with a high sex drive and possible perversions, or someone who is all talk and no trousers. with these kind of artists theres rarely anything in the middle, its either pervert or incel.

the more you post, the more evidence there is to agree with that statement.

It only seems that way to you because it's Pynchon, not Vonnegut.

Of course there is, just like there is a lack of talent, with total amusia being its most extreme form. Talent can't be aquired like knowledge or skill no matter how dedicated you are, it's something you're born with. There have been reports about people developing the strangest talents after serious head injuries (even for complex mathematics) but those cases are extremely rare. It's much more likely to lose a talent after such an incident. Interesting stuff. But yeah, talent is very real.

It's debateable if talent matters more than dedication or if it's the other way around. I have a feeling though that OP's issue might have more to do with purpose/reason - which is the foundation of dedication.

For some reason, all these KVRguements (has anyone trademarked this yet?!?) remind me of a favorite quote from 30 Rock:
"Remember when a movie was just a fella in a hat running away from a fella with no hair?"

Perhaps I yearn for simpler times...before...interwebs?

Dedicate yourself to that idea and write a song about it, and then post the result here. We will then judge your level of talent, and thus the thread will reach its natural conclusion, the argument will be settled.

Well, I learned by practising a lot, jamming, rehearsals, live gigs, reading and writing lyrics and from artists I like.

You are not born with immediate talent,
as long as your talent is sleeping,
your efforts might not be satisfactory,
wake up your sleeping talent!
