Damn but this synth just looks and sounds lovely.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Oh nice. And it can trigger the side chain module?ultra_audio wrote: Sat Jan 24, 2026 2:04 amWe have audio input...swilow11 wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 8:55 pm This would be great imo. Even greater would be adding an audio input to trigger that module.

You guys have certainly put a lot of thought into this- really enjoying it amidst some tough recent competition (Zebra 3, Absynth, etc). Very unique without being so different as to require chambering desperately up a very steep learning curve..
I'm sure this has been mentioned, but unison on the wavetable oscillators would be good (assuming it isn't present already?)

There is no unison on the UltraWave osc, as it is already playing up to 16 cycles when it's in a multi-mapped stereo situation. We have 21 voices of unison in the Super osc, and 11 in the Sampler.swilow11 wrote: Sat Jan 24, 2026 2:52 am I'm sure this has been mentioned, but unison on the wavetable oscillators would be good (assuming it isn't present already?)
We've thought about making a 'simple' wavetable osc that doesn't do the multi-map thing but has unison. Would that be a priority do you think?

I'd certainly like it. One of Serums best features is being able to disperse the wavetable position and warp modes through unison. I'm rarely making supersaws with it, mainly making super alien wide soundscapes. Huge sound design potential beyond just fat leads with versatile unison options.ultra_audio wrote: Sat Jan 24, 2026 7:23 amThere is no unison on the UltraWave osc, as it is already playing up to 16 cycles when it's in a multi-mapped stereo situation. I‘ve bought so many synths from small developers, which turned out to be a one-hit-wonder then and not getting maintained later. Price is to steep for a small unknown company. So I‘ll wait on this, if it gains some relevance in the market, before I would step in.
But damn - this thing is beautiful. Great work!

I bought it and really like it BUT! more envelopes and LFOs are needed.
- more distortion algos would be great too (to be honest, the distortion is the only module I´m not really sold by)
- some more filter algorithms would be awesome event though I really like the ones that are in there and love the resonator

Thank you! For what it's worth, we plan to be around a long time. We managed to keep motivated during all the years of development with not a lot of feedback, but having the synth out and seeing people responding to it so well is much more exciting!SamDi wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 12:28 pm I‘ve bought so many synths from small developers, which turned out to be a one-hit-wonder then and not getting maintained later. We have lots of cool features planned for it - we're just getting started

Yes, we need more LFOs + ENVs. It's really only a GUI issue.Xbucket wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 8:52 pm I bought it and really like it BUT! more envelopes and LFOs are needed.

What kind of filters and distortions do you need?

First mentioning that it's great that you are in the forum listening to us people, thank you for this! And thank you for being able to load many fx and not just one eq, one distortion, ...
Now to the ideas:
I am a fan of the shaper table and filter table in phase plant as you have the ability to add many different flavors and maybe from a coders view only the need to program the foundation and each variation works by loading a wavetable, but that´s just assumed as I don't have any experience in audio coding. The filter selection in serum is a great example too, with optional drive settings, or the new filters in Arturia pigments. Although I am sure it could feel like copying others ideas for the users this would be great and Ultra is unique so probably this wouldn't be a big deal.
Additionally the option to get the stereo effect in the filter section, like Minimal Audios Current Synth or Serum (im not sure this moment).

Can you tell me what you mean by the stereo filter effect?Xbucket wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 8:33 am Additionally the option to get the stereo effect in the filter section, like Minimal Audios Current Synth or Serum (im not sure this moment).

in current you have a spread knob, that shifts the filter on the left and right side which gives a nice stereo effect.

Managed to get a bit of spare time and check out Ultra - very impressed. Threw together usable sounds from scratch incredibly quickly. Visual feedback is great without being epilepsy-inducing and sounds gorgeous

Ahhh. You mean something like this?Xbucket wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 3:09 pm in current you have a spread knob, that shifts the filter on the left and right side which gives a nice stereo effect.
You can stereo offset any knob. It's really nice to do this to pitch cents.
