plugin boutique and acustica are also heavy spammers. heck, most of freebies come at the cost of junk mail flooding.
on topic, it appears I successfully unsubscribed from hornet´s mail list. hadn´t till now because saverio strikes me as a decent guy, bu too much is too much.

Well the fact is that we don't want to bother anyone but (to my surprise too) email marketing is still the best way to guarantee a steady number of sales that pay the bills. It's a large number game so i understand that some hundreds of people are bothered with this amount of mails, but our mailing list is actually larger than 130K contacts and an open rate of about 10% (so a good percentage by email marketing standards) these numbers only says that this amount of mail is not a problem for the vast amount of our customers.

Of course you can unsubscribe form the link at the bottom of the mail, it works. if you still have problems, and this is a tech problem, we will address it and fix it.

That said, I love to do this stuff and hear your feedback on everything but since this is my company I will do it my way. I just want to create smart tools that are cool to make and help create better/faster music, but since we are in a very crowded market we need to find a niche and to stick to what works in order to keep on doing what we like. And trust me, we don't have flashy sports cars or villas with pool

JST isn't too bad imo, Cymatics on the other hand...getting a "YOOOOOO (real name) WHADDUP DAWG!" email every day, let's just say they're lucky they have some good plugins and occasionally give them away for free!

Looks like Saverio is yet again resurrecting old customers emails and continuing the Email spam. Unsubscribe isn't working at all yet again. I've forwarded the annoyance to a few legal entities here though I assume it'll just get lost in the minimal general complaints.

Anybody got experience with one of those 3rd party companies that force websites to remove all personal data?

Oh and I've got about 3 Hornet plugins to sell/give away for free. I want absolutely nothing to do with this company ever again. The plugins are pretty much terribly coded and constantly prone to crashing so basically useless. If there ever was a company I will now go actively forth in NOT ever recommending, it is this one.

I've never had such issues with any other company ever. Unsubscribing form emails is usually extremely simple. This is the only one that keeps sending them no matter what.

EDIT: Anybody got Saverios personal email? PM me if you do. I'd like to have a few words with the dude. I do see him on Facebook but I ain't gona risk it that way yet.

This is hilariously arrogant. You’re definitely living up to your username. As others have pointed out, the simple and obvious solution is to designate his emails as spam or block them. Instead you’re threatening legal action

Saverio promised he had taken me off the mailing list (last time was already the 2nd time). Even this time, I wrote an email right back before coming here publicly chastising the company and asking for help.

Sure, if you want to call that arrogance, go right ahead. That's your prerogative. I call it standing up to what is lawfully my rights. You may be the sort of person that doesn't do that.. you may always look the other way or take other measures. This is the way I do things. I say what I think and I stand by my words. And to “help” the audio community, you have bravely identified another Italian company doing VERY BAD THINGS just like Acustica.

In no way shape or form did I ever start this thread to "help" anybody. It was a 100% selfish thread where I ASKED FOR HELP in getting this issue killed and buried once and for all.

As for Acustica Audio. I stand by every single critique I've ever said about them, 100% sincerely. Not my problem where they are from. Don't give a flying f*** about that. I only care about results and when it comes to fixing bugs and actually releasing working products, Acustica Audio has piss poor track record of that.. even still to this day, almost 20 years later. Heck, I still punch myself sometimes for not calling them out on their bullshit earlier.. I let their complete disregard for the customers slide for way too long. I'm not proud of that chapter and should have been more honest and true to myself back then. But hey, finding oneself comes with age and wisdom.

I call it as it is. Always.

There is not the slightest reason why we should put up with all this nonsense nowadays.

There are very clear laws about advertising, especially in the EU, and Saverio is giving a sh*t on them, spamming everyone within his reach because it might be that this person might be interested in something after all.
You´ve got problems with your business... well, that´s not our problem...
Spamming everybody no matter if this person agrees or not is for sure not the right way other if you want to destroy the reputation of your company entirely!

Plugin Boutique, Plugin Alliance and UAD are the worst for me now. I successfully cancelled Hornet's spam and had to unsubscribe from Korneff Audio too.

What comes to those daily Hornet mails, personally I don't really mind them. I delete sometimes up to 2000 mails a month, so a few from Saverio in that bunch isn't too bad. He also usually gets me to buy his new inventions eventually, so his "devious" bomb them in to submission plan must work?! (I hope he makes loads and loads of money!!!)

On a sadder note some of the newer Hornet plugins have been quite unstable and some don't show up in the (Reaper) DAW scan, but again, personally (and this is just me, others may not feel the same) I don't really mind. I have far too many plugins already and I'm just glad to see some new invention from Saverio. (It is quite exciting and his Zero plugins are absolutely great) Those bugs etc. may be fixed later on or perhaps, when I get a newer computer, some of those problems are solved. All in all I'm just glad that we still have active plugin developers like Saverio!!!

Well, I agree with you on one thing which is calling out bullshit. And that’s exactly what I did on this thread. Spam is a relatively trivial issue that most of us experience every day and have learned to deal with. To threaten legal action because of spam just seems WAY over the top to me (bullshit). None of what I’ve said is strawman. You make some good comments from time to time and I agree with a lot of them. My overall point here is that you have a habit of attacking people when it’s totally unwarranted. Your over-the-top response to Saverio on this thread is an example of that.
