The envelopes are a little difficult to edit with precision (the jump on attack from 0.0 to 0.1 is pretty large graphically); might be nice to interact with the UI directly there via grabbable points

Thanks for the feedback — you're right, the envelope points can feel a bit jumpy at low values.iowastate89 wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 2:28 pm The envelopes are a little difficult to edit with precision (the jump on attack from 0.0 to 0.1 is pretty large graphically); might be nice to interact with the UI directly there via grabbable points
When you grab a slider/knob (or use the mouse wheel over it), holding **Shift** switches to the highest resolution mode — that should give you much finer control for precise adjustments (especially on the attack from 0.0 to 0.1).
Let me know if that helps or if the jump still feels too big even in high-res mode. I might add a visual hint or make the Shift behavior more obvious in a future update — and most likely I'll end up providing some more user-friendly controls overall.
Appreciate you pointing it out!
Cheers,

Thanks for checking out v1.0.2 and the feedback!Teksonik wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 1:19 pmAwesome, thanks! 130% seems to be perfect for my monitor resolution and eyes. However whenever I close then re-open the GUI it goes back to the default 100% size even though the selector still shows 130%. I don't see a way to "set as default" the size we want although I might just be missing something. The new color schemes are a nice touch as well.FFFFFred wrote: Sun Feb 22, 2026 11:52 pm Just released GammaWave v1.0.2 with the Arpeggiator and window zoom/resize features you were looking forward to!
The Arp looks like it's very well featured so now that I can comfortably see the plugin I'll work with the Arp to see how it functions as well. I'm looking forward to hearing what "Pinky Up" and "Brownian" modes sound like......![]()
You're right — the window size and selected theme aren't being saved yet when closing/reopening the GUI. That's on me; I was a bit too hasty pushing this build out.
I've noted the issue (along with a couple of cosmetic regressions I spotted myself) and will fix them in the next update — should be quick.
Glad the 130% zoom feels perfect for your setup though, and happy you like the new color schemes!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Arp once you've played with it.
Thanks again — really appreciate you testing and reporting this stuff!
Cheers,

Great feedback - love that you're already getting interesting results with Mutate!iowastate89 wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 1:45 pm Looks interesting, already came up with some weirdo stuff via mutate (might be nice to have an undo feature)
I'll definitely think about an undo/redo stack (maybe stepping back through the last few generations) - that's a solid idea and would make the randomization even more fun to play with.
Thanks for the inspiration! Keep it coming

Oh, cool! I'll check this out. Thanks for the hard work - will try to mess with it while snowed in.

Seems like a cool concept so I went ahead and bought it. A very small and petty complaint: people who request a free copy apparently get to have a custom name and I'm just "Gamma Wave Patron". It's such a small and petty complaint that I am now fearful my licensed name will be changed to "very small and petty" as a way to punish me by giving me what I asked for.
Anyways, I'm only starting with it and to be honest not getting along with it 100% so here are some criticisms.
1. It would be so much nicer to have a way to easily go to next and previous presets. Going from one to the next feels strangely cumbersome to me.
2. Some of the presets don't seem to do anything. One example: going from any other preset to Basics->Bit Noise Init doesn't change anything.
3. The mutate button mostly creates either inaudible sounds or chaotic screaming, often with maxed out CPU usage. (A panic button might be useful in those instances.) Oh, and Mutate sometimes crashes Waveform - not totally unexpected, but still a bummer.
I'm running Windows 10 and have been testing it in Waveform Pro, Reaper, and FL Studio. Sadly, my CPU is old and slow, so I'm expecting modern plugins to perform poorly for me until I get around to upgrading.

Surely there must be consensus by now...

Thanks a lot for your interest, your purchase, and this super detailed feedback — really appreciate it!pough wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 7:54 pm Seems like a cool concept so I went ahead and bought it. On the personalized license name:
Great point — I hadn't thought of that angle. I did plan to eventually reach out to everyone who purchased to offer a custom name upgrade. I'll start doing that in small batches shortly so you (and others) can get something more personal than "Gamma Wave Patron". No punishment intended — promise!
Not sure if it's super obvious, but you can scroll through presets quickly using the mouse wheel over any of the dropdowns. That said, a few people have mentioned it feels cumbersome, so I'll definitely look into better next/prev options (arrows, shortcuts, etc.). My worry is the control area is already pretty crowded with favorites/stars, but it's worth exploring.pough wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 7:54 pm Anyways, I'm only starting with it and to be honest not getting along with it 100% so here are some criticisms.

Excellent catch — you're right, some init/basic presets aren't doing anything meaningful yet. I'll fix that in the next update.pough wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 7:54 pm 2. This is very much an experimental feature — it can indeed push CPU hard (especially on older machines) and sometimes produce inaudible/chaotic results or even crashes (sorry about the Waveform one!).pough wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 7:54 pm 3. A "panic/reset" button is a good idea, and I'll think about ways to tame it or add safeguards. For now, caution is definitely advised with Mutate — especially if your CPU is older/slower.
Thanks again for sharing all this — it's precious feedback and super motivating.
If anything else comes up while testing, don't hesitate to let me know!

Hi everyone,
Just released GammaWave v1.0.3 last night with a bunch of fixes and improvements!
Full details and download here:
https://shadowtune.itch.io/gammawave/de ... 103-is-out
Highlights include:
- Official macOS notarization + AU support (Logic Pro compatible)
- CPU Panic Button (click the meter to reset/silence)
- Preset navigation arrows (requested here!)
- Window size now persists properly between sessions (big thanks to those who pointed out the non-stickiness)
- Tooltips everywhere, UI refinements, stability fixes, and preset corrections
Hope this makes things smoother — especially on Mac and for workflow.
Let me know what you think once you've tried it, or if anything still feels off. Your feedback has been huge in shaping these updates!
Cheers,
ShadowTune

I just dove into The Wave Movements Soundset and… wow… these 70 presets are seriously tremendous. They showcase GammaWave’s capabilities in ways I hadn’t fully explored yet — the sci-fi textures, lo-fi vibes, evolving arps, and those atmospheric pads are next-level. Seriously inspiring stuff and a perfect demonstration of what Flux, Hearth, and the granular side can do when pushed creatively.
Huge respect for putting this together and releasing it for free (non-commercial use noted). It means a lot to see someone dive so deep so quickly after launch.
Thank you again — this is exactly the kind of creative energy that keeps me motivated to improve the plugin.
If you ever want a free personalized license (or early access to future updates), just say the word (DM or email on itch.io).
Amazing work — keep the wave movements coming!

Quick Update on the Free License Promo
Thanks to the awesome response so far (50+ licenses sent, great feedback!), I'm closing the free license offer (via DMs here on KVR) at the end of the weekend — Sunday, March 2, 2026.
(I had to invest in a Mac and Apple developer license unexpectedly to make Mac builds happen — costs I hadn't anticipated at launch, so this helps keep things sustainable.)
If you haven't requested yet, DM me now (or by Sunday) with your desired username + email (private only) — I'll honor all requests received before the cutoff!
Starting right now (February 27), unlocks will move to a $5+ minimum donation (still donationware — free demo remains fully available with periodic silence).
To keep the spirit alive: Ongoing free licenses for anyone who posts about GammaWave on socials (demo clip, review, preset share, etc.) — send me the link via DM/email and I'll hook you up as thanks (at my discretion).
Huge appreciation for the support and energy — let's keep building together!
Questions? DM here or email (on the itch.io page).
Cheers,
ShadowTune

End of the month snuck up on me. Happy to donate, understand that signing certs cost money and time isn’t free. Intrigued by the combination of features and especially the distortion engines.

The asking price is so little for what it delivers, I would be ashamed to ask for a free version…
