Congrats, LM. Your prize is to get to tell Ron to shut the f*ck up every day till it comes out...

Some prize!! That's more like a full-time job, except I don't get paid for it.

Really though. Is it really necessary to come in and say that you were tired of waiting and left for another host. This bugs me(and others) so much. Who cares. Go have fun with your software. But remember, Steinberg is known for bugs, because they DON'T wait to release things. I'll take my stable T2 over ANY version of Cubase, old and new, cutdown or full.

So you know T2 will have MIDI sync, and you "loved" T1 so much, that you just couldn't wait and moved on. Yeah, really logical. So go, use your new friend, but don't forget that nobody here really cares is you moved on. Just go quietly. Oh, and remember, Mackie aren't changing their plans because of your news. As a matter of fact, nobody is.
Didn't know you would get robbed up the wrong way so bad... Hahaha glad to see you say you don't care then start your rant..

Reality:
Cubase SL = $280
T2 = $199

My Situation, I have a re-mix project thats' been sitting on my MPC for months as I eagerly awaited T2. Now, as I need to track that for a possible single release I cannot wait anylonger!!! I visited these forums for 6mths hearing the hype and getting bits and bobs...now I find out its another 2mths anyways...shit..I can write a few songs in that time which might pay off Cubase SL anyways!!! Its just shit timing..

However, if your user base cries out for a pretty fundamental feature like MIDI SYNC why not release it for them in a patch....or an update!!! Oh well...Im sure theres a hell of alot of other users who just went to another Host too!!!

I personally feel a bit shitty that they are clearly targeting this at NEW USERS (hence the boxed version) and their loyal user base got screwed over waiting besides the 20or so purists who I noticed post on this forum continuoulsy I doubt anyone with any real musical aspirations waists time like a biatch waiting for somthing they can get some where else...

I hope T2 is good. I may take a look at it after the early adopters iron out the bugs (yes there will be bugs) sometime in 2010..

Hey, I don't care if you go to another host. And my rant is made towards the people who think it's necessary to come in here and let us know that they just jumped ship. Well, fine, do it. But the tone in which it's done is crappy. You made your own bed, now lay in it. Maybe YOU need to fix the way you came in here and proclaimed your news. Really, ask around, nobody really cares.

Also, on a more sincere note, I don't mean this or anything to mean that you are making a mistake going elsewhere. You got to do what you got to do. If you have a project that needs finished, and T can't do the job, then you are entitled to go elsewhere. And I don't disagree with your decision. Just make music and that's the most important thing. Touch somebody's life, support your family, and do what is necessary. But just be a little less bombastic about it next time. Thanks.
