Still working on it! Adding in sustain pedal support (ooooops!) and checking into the note-on clicking. Also looking at the issues reported with legato and portamento and changing the graphics on the effects page to stop changing once they have been clicked on. I'd like to improve the loading time once I figure out how.

andrew_k - Thanks for all the feedback.
You can create your own waves and wave sequences from the editors page under waves.
The square and pulse waves are available using PWM. Sine ould be added as another oscilator type but I think it's pretty easy to get using the digital option.
Thanks for the offer of better help files but I like the way the current ones integrate with the GUI. Any contributions for content would be appreciated though (maybe some tutorials)

Fantastic, this all sounds great! Looking forward to the next release.

Thanks Doogs. As a guitarist I am still learning about synths and synth programming, hence I'm missing things that may be obvious to other users. I have a couple of great books on synth programming so, if I get time and feel I understand enough about how Foorius works, I will attempt a tutorial. This unfortunately won't be for a while though due to work commitments. Thanks again Doogs.

Bug report,
The potamento doesnt work when the legato option is enabled and the poly is 1. if you play a string of notes the porto travels to the right note but allways from the same wrong note... Try setting porta to a high value and enable legato on the amp and filter. and also make sure you only have poly = 1

Hey good job on the envelope specific legato enabled option! This was good original thinking... Normally its a global voice thing! But sometimes i only want the filter to be legato but the amp to not be! Awesome! BUT- it would be cool to have a way to turn all of the envelopes associated with voice A or B etc, to legato on or off!

Also A way to say, in mono mode, whether the lfo's are legato or not! That is, whether or not they are retriggered!

Awesome synth, this is my most commonly used one! :D

The GUI put me off initially but i must say this is one powerful synth. Love the vocal filter and the way modulating LFOs are handled is very clever. Good job! I'll jump in if i find any quirks or have any ideas for improvement.

And i like the astronauts myself.

Does anyone else have problems with huge DC offsets from time to time with this synth? The old trick of running through a highpass filter seems to be doing the trick but it would still be nice not to have to worry about it.

This patch gives a big DC offset in my editor (Buzz):

Doesn't seem to have the problem in Tracktion though.

If you turn the reverb off, you'll notice that the offset disappears. It is fairly common result of using delay-based effects, which can add very low frequencies. Tracktion might actually be filtering below 20 Hz by default.

That's the thing; i did turn the reverb off and it still had a noticeable offset off to one side.

Post

With regards to the Tracktion click-through, this is still happening, and fairly often, in Tracktion 2. It is definitely happening more with foorius than any other plugin I have.

The chorus adds very noisy noise! Maybe this is a dc offset?

As always, I hope for synths being able to have one or more voices from external sources.

(noise is the exact opposite of dc offset)

Will this synth ever progress?

re: the Ratio field in the OSC sections, the manual states:

- Right clicking allows the keyboard to be used to enter a value.

yes, but there is something very broken when this technique is used. if you use the Enter key to exit the field edit, it doesn't respond. if you click elsewhere on the GUI funny things start to happen, ranging from the new value being ignored, to eventual crashes of the host. often the background colors and font size of the numerics change within the field, etc. sometimes it finally displays the correct value, other times it reverts back to the initial value...very random...

also: once you have tried this, double-clicking in this field suddenly will select the text

kind of hard to explain since YMMV. just try it.

edit: forgot to add that the right-click keyboard entry method doesn't work at all for the Coarse and Fine adjustments.
