So far things are working for me on my Mac. I just reinstalled my OS on my Mac and tried to install the update without the older version there, and it "unexpectedly quit" every time. When I installed from the CD, THEN deleted the CD version and copied the update into my Apps directory, it worked find. I don't know what the difference was. Could it be that it wasn't yet "registered" on my machine? I guess the updates are coded to prevent this. Anyway, it works great now. It's a pleasant update. I hope more come as I'd like to see those additional plugs and maybe a few little features added.

I'm still content though with T2, even more than I ever was with T1, and can't imagine changing. Thanks for the great update!

I know someone else who made that same mistake once.
I've done it a few times. :)

It isn't entirely intuitive if you aren't used to programmer nomenclature.

Any word if the "installation corrupted" error when T2 tries to write to the settings file is fixed? It might be among the miscellaneous small fixes...

Is this still happening? It's working fine for me on 10.4.2.

i narrowed it down to the WaveShell VST 5.0 - it was causing every plugin that followed it to crash and be disabled. weird. now that all plugs are validated/verified, i put the WaveShell back in and it crashes - any help on this? it doesn't crash in any other host using VSTs (Live4/CubaseSX3)

This is a known issue with Waveshell. It has been discussed heavely here on the Mackie forum:

We are working on fixing it now.

OK - The question for me is : Should I upgrade and what is the benefit of Tiger, especially if I primarily use my mac for Tracktion 2 :?:

For audio, you can send midi over ethernet (audio too? maybe) and you can group all your audio interfaces into one 'Aggregate' device which is really handy. Spotlight is great for finding stuff on your HD, and the whole OS seems more responsive to me.

Thanks Braj - That sells me. By the way, I remember a thread about you trying wormhole with a mac and win XP. Did that work for you? It would be really cool to ethernet VSTs along with midi.

I gave up on that before I even tried it. I'm trying to keep everything as simple as possible and my music didn't require it.
