Yes, I absolutely 100% agree that improving the browser to give more information about the files including path name among other things is a good idea and it something I have also wanted to get implemented for sometime but I don't agree with your reasoning for doing it. But we all have different methods of working and I see your points.

ttoz if you click the file you can already see the path to it in the filename field in the properties panel. you can see there where it is.
i think, imho, that having an extra field in the list is pointless, as the info is already there. putting another field in will just make everything difficult to read, as there's already loads of text getting squashed up depending on how much info you have in your descriptions.
find orphan clips - cool, just done that, i see three files in this project. do i want to delete this clip? i click it and it shows me the path at the bottom. if that's the only reason you want the file path then i don't see the point in clogging up the main list view with more info that's available already.

I'm not based in the US so someone at tech support will have to forward it to me when they get in in the morning (it's still 6am there). I might not get to look at it till tomorrow it being friday night and all.ttoz wrote:by the way, did the email come through? no hurry, just to make sure it got there.

that said, it is a fair enough feature request. and i think you'd do well in general if you tried to adopt a more diplomatic, reasonable and mature approach in future.

Yeah, well, if you don't like the general style of an application that's not really "fixable", better to aim for the applications you like and try to get the minor like this audio pool stuff) fixed in thosettoz wrote:dual cpu support? midi plugins? Very cumbersome piano roll editing..I don't know, I found it too clunky. I'll try it again someday.stefancrs wrote:If you told Frits about this he would probably implement it really fast, seems kinda like a one hour task really.ttoz wrote:Podium is simply a no go cause it lacks the most crucial feature...telling you where you release clips when dragging on the timeline.stefancrs wrote:so, how do you currently feel about Podium?
I din't go further than that.

okay, i just did a find orphan clips, and i wanted to find out if a particular file is in the main folder or somewhere else.
i click the file, and the file's properties at the bottom has a filename field (next to the button i pointed out) - the whole file path is stored there if it's somewhere else than the main project folder
