all these osxaudio refugees that swam up to these shores recently got me thinking. Perhaps I could find some of you on em411 or looptalk or ?
she rocks...good for her...shouldn't these things be a way to get around the usual stuff in the record business world ie "word of mouth"?jmh wrote:... I'd wonder where Lady J would continue advertising herself at every point
Cheap shot, but I'm tired of synth threads constantly turning into self-advertising.

Yep, she rocks. But not 'good for her', if you've been following the threads... Pro-53, that new Mac-only synth, Alizee, more if you're interested. They all have this thing in common, they turned into discussions about her career.ross g wrote:she rocks...good for her...shouldn't these things be a way to get around the usual stuff in the record business world ie "word of mouth"?jmh wrote:... no, i didn't follow those threads, i'll just politely bow out of this one (for once)...jmh wrote:Yep, she rocks. But not 'good for her', if you've been following the threads... I settled my differences with her in one of those threads, and like I said, she rocks... but still, this particular piece of behavior is exactly the same as say any commercial developer turning any thread into an advertisement of his/her product... and almost as annoying as the guerilla marketing tactics performed by some developers, using several out-of-the-blue nicks "stumbling upon" their products and finding them to be the best thing since sliced bread.
Then again... without these soap operas, where would we go if KVR suddenly disappeared

"if KVR suddenly disappeared..." "... I'd be making more music" - 110% agreed.
