Hey all,

here we go, ADAPTIVERB 1.1.0 is now officially out :D

The free 1.1.0 update fixes all known bugs and introduces the PREVIEW mode, which significantly lowers CPU usage while affecting sound only slightly – and which can even sound cooler on some sounds.

To grab the update & for more details on what's been fixed/improved in 1.1.0, please visit

http://www.zynaptiq.com/adaptiverb/adap ... downloads/

MAC VST3 USERS PLEASE NOTE: One of the bugs we fixed causes the 1.1.0 Mac VST3 to not be found when loading sessions made on a Mac with earlier versions, breaking recall – sorry about that! The good news is that the 1.1.0 Mac archive includes a special VST3 Legacy Support build of the plugin that WILL load in such sessions, so you can either bounce tracks or save a preset & replace the instance with the 1.1.0 plugin. Other formats/platforms and any presets made with our preset manager are not affected. More info is in the README file on the AV downloads page.

We don't have a Dry/Wet, Live Mode or Preview Mode lock just yet, but are working on it.

Enjoy!

Hi Denis,

For those of us who had a beta of 1.1.0 should we also use the latest update?

cheers

They're 2 variations on the factory presets with 50/50 dry/wet and 50/50 dry7wet plus PREVIEW mode on. Manual install into user presets directory.

Thanks for update.

Just as feature request:
Add some additional mode (enabled by optionally ! no any damage to the current sound), in which would be available to hear Simplify fader result a more clear. Well, i mean, thoose spectral "partials" which generate via Simplify function, they currently are sounds too smooth (softness), what very good for reverberation texture ofcourse.
BUT, would be very interesting also to get something like true spectral\resonance resynth, with contrast\sharp atonal textures, so to speak, hear native (raw) sound of partials (of Simplify result). Excuse me for my English, I hope you understand what I mean.
So to speak, the transformation from beautiful velvet to an harsh adaptive canvas. It would be a really cool addition to main Adaptiverb character, i mean, expanded his range.

(P.S. Increase of Input Air level not considered :P )

Congrats, Denis, the best got better :tu:

Hi Denis and thank you very much for this update!

I know that this is not something big and had been discussed earlier but, still some hope to get some more snapshots for the KYBD ALGO?

Here's SoundOnSound's review conclusion:

"On the one hand Adaptiverb is the kind of tool sound designers dream about, but its capacity for weirdness shouldn’t detract from the fact that it is also a fantastic studio reverb for vocal and instrument applications, with its unique ability to avoid pitch clashes where appropriate. I can honestly say that I’ve never come across a reverb plug-in that can offer so many different things to so many potential users, and the sheer quality of the results allows me to forgive it for its CPU load and latency."

And now the latter has been solved as well :tu:

Sure. We have to draw a line for each specific update at some point so we can actually *ship* it (developers call that a "feature freeze"), but that doesn't mean that there's not more updates coming ;-) We listen very closely to what our users would like to see – we make the software for *you guys* at the end of the day :D

Actually, I have a whole slew of things listed for the future. And not just for ADAPTIVERB.

cheers,
Denis

I've taken note of this request 8)

We'll have a look at that for a later version, no promises but definitely something to consider.

Thanks for the update, testing it with this:

There seems to be a bug with the new Preview-mode, when engaging it and then storing a preset, the setting seems to be saved, as it recalls alright; the problem is that it doesn't disengage afterwards when selecting a new preset, which is bad. So once you have a selected a patch where the Preview-mode is activated it will always be on, no matter if the following preset has it engaged or not.

Another new bug seems to be (on Mac) that the frozen drone patches don't play when you select them after you have used a non-frozen preset, they only start playing when you step through a list of frozen patches, so you select a non-frozen preset, then a frozen one -> no sound, then you select the next frozen one -> sound plays.
