Funking hell, just learn to read between the lines. They said they know it's highly requested feature and is on the to-do list.

Like me going to gym.

EDIT: sorry, but RS pisses me off :tantrum:

I think they may have underestimated the work involved in just the HD update, there seem to be more bugs after each beta release and we are in July now...we haven't even seen the new combiner or sampler and 8 weeks to go until R12 is released....
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I had no idea Ableton was such a big company and am interested to read the source of your info.
Cursory Google search, actually. It’s on their Wiki as well.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ableton
640, https://www.linkedin.com/company/ableton
Or 201-500 from that same page. Seems like there’s quite a range!
Anything over 200 seems huge, would've thought they'd be around 30 as I expect FL team are somewhere around there going by flaming bus photos. Ableton forum users around 10-20% of FLs must upset them if there's hundreds. Maybe they count people collecting ore for their hardware?

Back to Reason, didn't they suggest the HD update would be free for 11 users, is 12 a freebie?
Nova II, FL20+Fire, Sytrus, Transistor Bass, DUNE 3, Thorn, Viper, ANA 2 SynthMaster, Discovery Pro, Reason, SugarBytes, SoundToys, LION, TRIAD, Plugin-Alliance, T-Racks, AmpliTube, MODO Drum/Bass, iZotope MPS 2.

Nope, its not free- 12 is a paid update unless you bought 11 in the last month or so....

Reason Studios had 33 employees in 2019, according to official information. In comparison.

No, it was never suggested by Reason Studios at all. Not sure where you came to that conclusion.

Ah, it was all just speculation about it being an 11.5 update back in this thread, and similar on Reason forums viewtopic.php?f=7&t=555873

I guess we can now just speculate over whether they'll follow the massively successful 'free lifetime updates' route.

After diving into Reason 11 Suite to then see that abandoned has left me wary of the new props, but don't find it too bad at 1440p, could always just create Reason control surfaces to see things better elsewhere.

So massively successful that no one else at all in the industry does it? FL started about the same time as Ableton...one of them is massively successful :D

No one who is basing their future business model on subscription is going to offer free updates for the lifetime licence (which they also offer) or there would be little advantage in subscribing!

indeed, it does it. not sort of... certainly not cheap.. but you can use the monthly payments, that you have accumulated, to buy the MCompleteBundle in sale, it is on sale now: €840. regular price is now €2099. at the subscription page, they still say €1799...
it must be done 'manually', so it can be done.. subscription and in the end pay the difference with €840.

i have the MCompleteBundle, but did the other route, freebies, some, bought some via Melda, sales, and of course MSoundFactory (intro sale, was cheaper as it is now... for me it is of course...), and buying second hand. don't know what i spend, but in the end MCompleteBundle was the cheapest to upgrade to. less than €840... o well, perhaps, no certainly less, but still quite an amount, but for what you get (and i know Melda is acquired taste, i like the way they work, so...).. strangely in sale it is cheaper, than before. i bought it before the regular price had gone up, and strangely more expensive.. to upgrade..

but lifetime updates, and all new plugins are added for 'free'.

well ok, this is the Reason 12 thread.

reason+ still seems to me a soundpack subscription... but i have Reason 11 suite, so...

€20 per month, there are sales on it, but you have to pay for a year? in that case.
and nothing in return, only the use of reason, what of course, isn't that bad.

but no third party plugins, what would i be without the Noise Engineering Bundles???

Lol! Exactly this. Ableton employs hundreds of people - Image Line has a handful. I know that the amount of net operating income a company generates may not be a good metric to some, but that alone speaks volumes IMHO.

Yeah, with 9 woman it takes just 1 month to produce a baby.

In my experience large teams/cooperations move slower because of the increased number of communication channels.

Good to know, thanks! Is that a Dutch thing? ;)

It's "birthing person" now, which apparently doesn't have to be a woman, i.e. a biological female.

Time for some speculation about the new sampler: it will have a tracker, similar to Renoise Redux, and new looping features that include DSP looping, like Antares Infinity RIP.

The included library contains seven different cowbell samples.
