Danny;

I found these, average about $30, not bad, so it takes only one stick??

Which one do you recommend ??

Not easy to get the box opened!!!! be carefull may void your warranty if damaged
Grateful thanks !!! Will be super careful, when I get a chance I will try this, which of the two you mentioned is faster/better ?
The IK sample Tank Piano included has too much latency for you? 128 samples?
How do you get 12ms latency??? it is about 3ms
Well(emoting like Ace Ventura Pet Detective...)... I calculated at least 12ms of latency based on the delay I get from hitting the key to when I get a sound, my little rule of thumb is I can hear anything over 12ms and I know more or less how it sounds(or feels, hard to explain), I could be wrong on the IK samples, I noticed that on the 4front ones, to be fair I will give them both a careful test, it was not a thorough run down, I did notice latency when playing piano, but none on some of the synth patches while playing some fast runs.... .....
did you lower the buffer setting?

YES - I think did and I did not set it back, it was one of those settings I changed by mistake, is that on the global menu ? I didnt know this was the "audio buffer" setting - DUH !!!

I know how it works, the higher the buffer, better quality, less cpu drain, but more latenncy, thanks, I think I did change that setting while fooling around !!!

Thanks Danny... 8)

I will double check and retest my pianos...

I had it set to 256, lowered to 128
Is this setting global or local to the bank/patch ??

Local per preset, so once you change it hit SAVE to save the preset,
Does it feel better to you? In all honesty, latency is such a BLACK HOLE, you should read some previous posts on this forum where we discussed this.

Danny; You are Da Man !!!

That was exactly my problem, on ALL banks for some reason I had buffers set to 256, changing them now, I just tested both the IK piano and the 4front one playing against the piano of the M-Audio Prokeys 88(which is direct), no more double attacks, definitely playable now...

I take back my rant on the latency delay, if anyone out there is experiencing latency delay, click the 3rd left button(Learn) until you get to buffer size and reduce to 128 !!! Does the trick !!

In doing that I also found where you can change the patches tempo setting !! Cool, thanks for the great help Danny... 8)

Loving my V-Machine more and more every day !!

Night and day difference for me, saving all the presets to 128 buffer size unless I get artifacts...

Hi,

Does anyone know why my sustain pedal doesn't work with none of the plugs in the Vmachine?
If I run a certain plug in Cubase sustain works well, same plug in vmachine, no sustain

regards,
Marco

Sustain is just a midi command that is coming from your keyboard,
No reason why it should not work. Which plug is it?

Wow, that's great! Shouldn't be too different from the original M-tron plugin, should it? I'm gonna work on that, if I have a working wizard file I'll send it to VFXAU or wizard@smproaudio.com. Thanks Matthew!

I tell you how I ported Pianoteq and Truepianos to the V-Machine with 64 (or 80) notes of polyphony... :D

I own the bundle SampleLord + Extreme Sample Converter. The latter has a great function, it can sample the output from other VST instruments and automatically create a sound bank, all in a bunch of seconds. I know, many new programs have this function, but I never used it before and at first I was a bit skeptical, but EXSC really does a great job.

So, all I had to do was to choose a nice preset on the VSTi and select reasonable split points for sampling. The program did the rest. After that, a bit of editing in SampleLord and finally I could export a fxp preset (or chunk file, if using the VFX app).

I know, it's not the same thing as playing the actual VST instruments, but now I can have a nice piano sound on my V-Machine.

Cool.. sounds like a plan.. once you do this you can release CD's

I know of several people using Sample Lord.
