Is it my eyes or is there a *tiny* (I mean small) graphics glitch on the racks when the "Pre/Post Fader Selection" tooltip appears (just below the tip, the rack slot curve gets painted wrongly)?
Doesn't seem to happen if I hover above the first (or last) slot.

Basic Synth UI inconsistency: the top bar "stripe" menu has "Editor -> Show Deep Editor" whilst the main window UI context menu has "Editor -> Unlock Custom Layout" or its alternatives. The rest of both menus appears the same. Is there any way to merge the "Editor" section (in both directions)?
Another glitch: using "Editor -> Clear Custom Layout", I had to close and open the Basic Synth before the context menu would come up again.

Hm. OK, I can map PitchBend to modulation and it works... but I don't see a way to split out the PitchBend messages so they're not also sent to the synth module I'm sending note data to. Am I missing something? (Have I mentioned this before..?
)
I guess just adding an event output to the "to modulation" modules that passes on the event input stripped of the data used on the modulation output would do. (A more general map anything to anything and apply any filtering etc module would be fun, though. But probably would warrant a scripting language...)

@pljones,
Pitchbend modulation:
it appears that if you map a midi controller to a play parameter knob, pitchbend is not passed to the osc.
Replace your pitchbend converter with a constant modulator and put that on the play editor. Map pitchbend to the knob.
Works here.
And then there is always the possibility to turn the osc pitchbend range to 0 when you use PB elsewhere.

I'd got that solution working with MULAB synths. I was after a general solution that also works for VST synths, really. Some of them don't even have the option of setting PB range to zero.

Jo,
I have some problems here with the Auto-naming feature in MuLab...
Especially with modules, like the Supermodulator or others, which can load patches...
No matter if I give the module a name before or not...as soon as I load a preset, it gets autorenamed to the presets name...not good...

I don't understand how Mulab 4 deals with sessions.
I want to open a new (empty) session, so I choose Mulab/new session or session/new, and the result is that a new Mulab is opened (the old one stay alive), with no tracks but with the same racks as the old one... ????????
And I don't knoxw how you can first launch Mulab and choose to open an empty session ??

"New" and "New Session" open the "New.Session" file in the MULAB App\Library\MuSession folder. As > DiGiT < says, this can contain any session you'd like it to - create an empty session and replace the one that's there, if you prefer a blank slate.
"Session"->"New" means replace the current session with "New.Session".
"MULAB"->"New Session" means start a new session with "New.Session".
(Similarly, "Open" and "Open Session" mean use a chosen session, in place of "New.Session" and "Open Demo" and "Open Demo Session" again do the same but using one of the demos.)

DiGiT, Nielzie, you don't have to buy a Mulab 4 UL User License, i'll make sure you get a free upgrade. Thanks for your continued support and feedback here on the forum! Hope you'll enjoy M4!Nielzie wrote:+1 I'll buy instantly
Won't be long I guess now it is in pre-release stadium![]()
NB: If you guys are really rich and buying a M4 User License doesn't hurt you at all, then feel free to financially support the project of course.
In any case: Cheers!

I'm not really rich but I'll make sure that you'll get a good payment (at least the normal upgrade price) from me. You deserve it, and I owe you for your fantastic support all along.
I'd like to upgrade straight from M3 UL to M4 UL though if possible and a free upgrade to M5 would be nice too (I'm planning to pay before 15 Januari)
