According to several reviews and YouTube roundups, "DeepRemix" from RipX is the best thing on the market for this at the moment, and it's on sale for $75 (25% off) right now. I just picked it up, and it did a pretty impressive job pulling a vocal out of a swing-style track I tried. It splits tracks up into as many as 5 or 6 layers (vocal, guitar, drums, bass, etc), and you get an interface a bit like Melodyne or Autotune where you can see the notes from each layer and move them to different layers if the AI got something wrong. I only had to clean up a few places where it thought a trumpet note was the singer. The resulting stems were a pretty mixed bag as you might expect, but the vocal was actually quite good, especially in sparser sections of the song; it even correctly kept harmony vocals and reverb. You can also muck with stems in a Melodyne-ish way, changing notes or timing and stuff, and it can save the notes from each track as MIDI too, which can be fun.

You can get 10 KVR Marketplace Points for signing up for the mailing list, and you can use 7 of those points to bring the price down to $68.

I demoed RipX Deep Remix just briefly -- and it worked quite well and much better than the other things I've tried for this. Pretty amazing, really.

Many thanks to Ceej for the info and to VitaminD for the tip about Thomann price! :tu: :tu:
Just to add, I bought RipX 3 days ago while it was on sale. I'm doing a project where a singer , lyricist and music maker (me) are in different cities. The singer recorded vocals into a phone over music I did ,and sent a resulting mp3. I was able to isolate the vocals clearly enough to build a good demonstration of the song with lots of modern vcl fx. Not a final release but minimal artifacts and main thing being the quick turnaround keeps momentum in the project. Glad I got this and solely based on info from KVR

"We want to give back to you all for supporting us last year ... In a few moments PA will launch a second and final BX FLOOD SALE, call it a V2 if you will. Over the next few days you will get a total of 3 voucher codes. Each code will knock down any plugin in the sale to just $29.99/each - and each code will be valid for 48 hours, so you have some time to pick and choose. This will be our thank you to YOU, our users, supporters and fans.

Now, to say thank you to all the PA/BX partners that helped BX last year, this year BX will waive our royalties as needed, so PA will not only pay all of the PA partners for this sale as they always get paid, but PA will be able to pay out an extra 10% to all participating PA/BX partners for whatever you buy from them during this 2022 Flood Sale V2!

This way BX wants to return the support to the community and to all the participating PA/BX partners, while the sale will also enable us to finalize the most extensive (and expensive) renovation and studio build in the history of our company."

So "this is basically for charity! we're giving you a gift!" but ultimately "we need more cash ASAP"....
i thought samething..its out of order saying there giving us something as a thank you for supporting them the last year then the thing there giving us is exactlly the same deal theyve been giving us all year.
i thought theyd give us a free plugin or a new one as thank you...then i remembered there just part of a big investment company now so freebies will be a thing of the past going forward probably.

It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

i dont see donationware on the discodsp site, it has a price attached

...which is nonsense. There is no restriction on commercial use in the GPLv3 license under which OB-Xd is released:

People have pointed this out to George several times, to no avail.
