Well, even though I don't make a big thing of birthdays (seriously, it is just another day to me), I did decide to make an exception and buy myself a birthday present. I now have a paid license for Bazille. This is a very unique synth and one that adds to my sonic palette with a degree of uniqueness that makes it a worthy and inspirational addition.
Nice one Urs!

Finally had a chance to play around with the latest last night. Very nice! Great UI, IMO. Need to dig into it a bit more, as with my usual modular synth explorations, I either get something that could easily be created in Diva, or something that sound like a sci-fi sound effect that's nearly unusable for most musical applications.

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to find time to test Bazille at last.
And it is quite unique, indeed! I made 40+ very professional sounding presets in couple of hours -> some nice sequences and bass sounds mostly.
I like the fact the synth is similar to Ace in terms of user experience and learning curve and CPU usage while they sound very different.
While Diva cried out for some features like Arpeggiator once it was released, Bazille is like Ace in terms of features -> pretty much perfect as it is.

2370 is crashing a lot on preset change for me on OS X 10.8.5, VST version Studio One. Happens whether mouse clicking in browser, using the left and right arrow navigation up top, or keyboard up down. Doesn't seem to be happening with the AU version.

I did some re arranging because i had trouble with 2 versions of bazille being installed (i've yet to do all my bouncing) but after reinstalling the 0.6 version does the expiration noise crackle. I'm guessing there's some version conflict somehow but i've kept them in complete different vst folders. Any way to get 0.6 working again?
Sorry if this has been asked before, did not manage to find anything via google.

There's supposed to be a preset conversion guide with download links for Bazille rev 1331. Can't check atm (iPad).ctrls wrote:I did some re arranging because i had trouble with 2 versions of bazille being installed (i've yet to do all my bouncing) but after reinstalling the 0.6 version does the expiration noise crackle. Yep, we think there's a threading problem that occurrs in only a few hosts. We know it's there, but we haven't got a fix yet.audientronic wrote:2370 is crashing a lot on preset change for me on OS X 10.8.5, VST version Studio One. Sorry about my stupidity, the VST3 was an old revision from way back, 1331...

No worries, that's a point we haven't thought about yet… we might need to write something about that…audientronic wrote:Sorry about my stupidity, the VST3 was an old revision from way back, 1331...

Is the Xpress MIDI output supposed to put out CC 11? When I connect it to osc pitch and move my controller knob assigned to CC 11, nothing happens. But with the Breath output connected and moving the controller knob set to CC2, the pitch changes as expected. Or am I not understanding something?
