maybe you mean something other. please try this example. add in your arp two 1 bar long notes. then press on your midi keyboard 2 notes maybe C and E and hold them. now after a quarter or so release only the key C but hold E. this now create a new note on of E and is wrong. correct is that Note C is stop to play and E is continue to play. So wy nora need create a new note E, when i release key C. nora need only continue play E and need not create new notes, when i release a notesquaredheads wrote:Well, it's still possible, but we need to figure out the way to do it. The reason that other arppegiators don't have this problem is the free polyphony together with the unrestricted note timing. It's a bit hard of explain, but trust me that I'm thinking into a solution for it.magicmusic wrote:oh, sound as there is no hope that it can work. near nobody build a car that can walk in the water. Do you know how long this short notes are ?. i do not understand, wy a note on come, when a trigger note is release. I never see such a problem on other arps.

"Currently the 'save as' menu function always greys out when the mini randomizer window is open."
On a mac you can drag the title to the browser and then the save dialog opens. This way you don't have to close the randomiser to save.

Thanks for the suggestion clickglue, appreciated.clickglue wrote:"Currently the 'save as' menu function always greys out when the mini randomizer window is open."

It would seem on the PC the randomizer window is restricted and can't be dragged to the browser unless I am missing something.?
So the randomization process goes something like this:
randomize a pattern
close randomizer
open save dialogue
name pattern
save pattern
open randomizer window
rinse and repeat
It feels a bit clunky and tiring over time.
Ideally a 'save as' within the randomizer window itself via a small icon seems more logical even if its just a shortcut to the real save especially if you want to generate 20 or 30 patterns at a time in very quick succession.
Actually a one click process that automatically saves and increments would be 10x better.
randpattern01
click save icon
randpattern02
click save icon
and so on.
In this way the user wouldn't ever have to leave the randomizer or type anything into any dialogues until they've generated enough patterns.
But for now a way to at least avoid closing the randomizer would make a huge difference to workflow for us poor PC users

I just had a breakthrough with Nora 2!
OSX Mavericks works. I was trying to get Nora 2 to work on OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and it would not work. I updated to Mavericks 10.9.5 last night and it now works!
Fun times ahead!

Hi, I'm sorry for the delayed reply. I've updated the first post with Nora 2.20 information. This update will be avaliable in few days, for free for our users.
@kurodo: Now you will be able to use the menu to save your generated phrases without closing the randomizer. You can do it in the current version (2.01) dragging the sequence name from phrase editor to the browser.
@magicmusic: We're still researching for a solution for this.

Thanks for the info...This make the Randomizer so much more fun (knowing this)... One can even drop a phase 'back' into the editor (from the browser), without closing the Randomizer.. Instant undo....Nice..squaredheads wrote:Hi, I'm sorry for the delayed reply. I've updated the first post with Nora 2.20 information. As Rajah says the bonus situation is being able to quickly restore a pattern by dragging it back in all why the randomizer is open.
Thanks for getting back, appreciated.

is this the same as the MFX plugins that Cakewalk is still using? that could be good for Sonar users as it allows easy insertion in a track (midi f/x) and these always had less hassles than VST.SirkusPi wrote:Version 2.2 will have a Midi FX version for Logic! I'm excited to try that out.
anyway, great news to hear 2.2 will be out real soon! good work.

Hello. I bought this when it first came out, and can not log-in {or change my password} to get any updates, though I have received notice that they are available.
Does the 'key file' change the demo to full version?
thanks

They're different formats. VST plugins allow MIDI Output, but AU plugins doesn't. So, for these sequencers on Mac that only work with AU plugins (Like Logic) cannot use Nora directly, as you're doing with the VST version. That's why Nora AU creates a virtual MIDI port in Mac, but this method has some caveats like:Kalamata Kid wrote:I am also curious only for Logic!? I have a PC and no logic.
- The routing may not be saved with the project
- There is an undesired lack of accuracy with the output notes.
So, instead fixing AU, Apple created another format that only work with Logic Pro X, based on the AU specifications (AU SDK), that allows you use Nora as you're doing with the VST in a PC, without using virtual MIDI ports and with a perfect timming, but using a different format.
I will search and read the Sonar MFX documentation the next week. If it's easy to implement and it's based on the VST SDK, I'll generate a MFX version for Sonar - I cannot re-code 200.000 lines only for that version
