This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

There seemed to be legit criticism when ilok was hardware only, I would never have gone for that. The software version has been ok to use for me.

Shame the leftover serials couldn’t be sold off cheap. I wouldn’t mind picking up a couple extra seats.

Folks arguing about iLok is pretty much par for the course but BBFG#’s addition about sex workers was f**ked up and way outside my sphere of interest.

They should still activate with iLok as they are genuine.

I wish izotope would reactivate my Excalibur license. It was on a machine that I cannibalised and did not know to deactivate ilok licenses first so i needed permission from them to reauthorise. Had no troubles with anyone else - just Izotope.

It hijacks two (or three) Windows process so you think it's Windows and not them. But without any iLok software, they aren't consistently there (at least they're harder to catch). The problem being is they run during the DAW use and add CPU percentage use as well as "spikes" that can be annoying while recording. From what I can tell, it makes no difference if it's one product or twenty. So I guess if you have one, you might as well go for them all? IDK. I do know they are some of the worst people I've ever had to deal with.Dirtgrain wrote: Sat Nov 05, 2022 7:24 pmThat's the only reason they have sales?BBFG# wrote: Sat Nov 05, 2022 4:33 pm It's comically obvious that even they know what an atrocity it is since they eventually have to drop their pants and essentially slash their price by up to 99% or flat out give it away just to get the iLok on our system...![]()
What sort of demand on a computer's resources does Ilok have?
But look at the products that had some kind of blow out sale flooding the market with $1-$9 products that were 10 or 20 times higher. Most of them required ilok. It would be hard to believe that no one else would see that correlation.
But again, if others WANT to use them, fine. All I hope for here is that those posting a "deal" that requires it, state that in the same post. If not, you can be sure someone will point it out and then we have to spend another three pages of this back and forth.

I love when people put requirements on people who are voluntarily doing something. Why just require iLok status, why not require country of origin (I care about this one more than iLok), require prices be converted to the top 10 currencies (so selfish of deal posters to not do this work for us), and I'm sure plenty of other things?BBFG# wrote: Sun Nov 06, 2022 3:28 am It hijacks two (or three) Windows process so you think it's Windows and not them. Or..... we can look up things we care about ourselves, and just be grateful to the people who voluntarily come to this site and share deals they find.

i was hoping my comments would break the ice. cut the crap dudes. there are people at war, other people starving, and those of us here are here to talk about deals so that we can make music and bring a little joy to this f**ked up world... ilok sucks or its great, but until we get rid of capitalism, wars arent going away, nor starving people, and probably not ilok.

I know this VST doesn’t exist. I know that when I put it in my DAW, the Matrix is telling my brain that it is just as warm sounding as Analog Gear and adding exact the same 3D Mojo to my Sound. After nine years, you know what I realize? Ignorance is bliss.
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.
