Jokes aside, I'dlike to know if anyone is thinking of getting AND using the StompIO with AT2 for live gigs. If yes, with your own PA? Or the club's PA? And what kind of PA? Just wondering if amp sims are going to make it to the live scene, or going to stay hidden in the studio/bedroom. Its really sad there's only 4 buttons for direct patch access on this thing... not enough. Anybody knows if it's possible to reprogram the bank and tap buttons to access more patches?
Cheers,
Mel

That's good news. I've got a Stephenson's Stagehog coming and I don't have a decent amp to plug it into.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:BTW, as a complete aside. AT2 sounds great with my Proco Rat in front of it (ok, maybe I don't necessarily NEED a Rat model, but I still want one anyway). I just thought I'd share that, because my Pod 2.0 and Guitarport both sounded like ass with real stompboxes for some bizarre reason. I might just have to hook up the whole pedalboard one of these days.

Eventually, I'll get an amp. But in the meantime I was going to run it into either the my PODxt Pro, Tonelab, or AT2. Good to know that AT2 plays nicely with pedals

Did you try the POD as a ASIO interface to your host using AT2?Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:BTW, as a complete aside. I tried using my POD XTL as a asio sound card to feed to console, and than hooked up AT2 demo, and it sounded really good. The latency was killing me though.

Too bad that the sound recording is really bad. I cannot tell much from the audio on that video clip.

I actually use the Hi-Z input of my Grace 101. I'm convinced Line 6 scimps on their hardware components to keep costs down. But, I have experimented using the Guitarport in Bypass mode and using AT2; it sounded fine. I could never figure out though why my Line 6 gear never played well with stomp-boxes (impedence issues?), but Grace101+AT2 works great.Cap'n Spanky wrote:That's good news. I don't mean to be critical...but, isn't the thread title a little misleading now?
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Over time it has metamorphosed from inapropos into an in-joke.
[edit] And now it's become a hallowed in-joke. Expunging said would be nigh unto impossible.

Like MC Hammer once said: Can't touch that! (or was it this)Hink wrote:I don't mean to be critical...but, isn't the thread title a little misleading now?
On a serious note though it is by far the biggest thread on Amplitube2 (mostly) and I heard that IKMM employees do monitor this thread for suggestions/comments, etc... and they do listen to our feedbacks.
So it's all good...

No, actually IKMM employees don't monitor the thread exactly unless they did in their spare time for fun (which I doubt). Maybe some have seen it here and there perhaps. I am not an "IK employee" myself but I do my best to monitor this forum to get feedback to convey to the powers that be from my position which as you probably know is pretty high up (ie. I am the CEO of Sonic Reality, the company that IK works with the most). If I agree with you guys then I can influence things sometimes in your favor. I try anyway.I heard that IKMM employees do monitor this thread for suggestions/comments, etc... and they do listen to our feedbacks.
