also i dont thin it will hold up that the product sold in europe would be bound by chinese law. i mean, the eu doesnt have jurisdiction in china, however they may ban them from being able to sell in the eu. i dont know if other recourses could be done unless that chinese conpany has assets in the eu.

if what the chinese conpany claim that only chinese law applies, and can get away with it, then other comapnies would do this. in fact some other companies do do this by setting up countries in remote areas of the world like vanuatu or nigeria or some place you havent heard of out of reach, but these tend to be small companies. large conpanies wont do this since it would be a big deal to be banned in the whole eu.

There is a Completed Order on my account for four sound packs. No download links. When I click on receipt it says "here is your receipt and download links" but nothing there. Email didn't have any download links either. Amateurs. I'm maintaining radio silence.

Just checked out ,.. same here ,..

Either they are plain fools ,.. or continues to try trouble folks to the very max

(not that I am interested in the packs, actually this "dispensation" is offensive in its own)

To me just another confirmation of previous conclusion:

Several years back a gaming sales store was put out of business this way (can't remember name).
Sales being final is just normal fair game and decent customer protection

In case the excuse "I made a mistake", on the contrary was valid, it would be a blanco-check for the seller to get away with anything IRL ,. being unprofessional, bad behaving, or just careless with their work and proccedures/security

All seems to be the case here

They could just double check, or tripe-check, all orders, be more carefully, make some insurance, limit max automatic sales, or whatever, if they feel they can't controll thier own shop properly

Turning their own problems into customers problems is a no-go

Not interested in the packs. Not bothered about the Nectar license. Am bothered about ADSR and the way they are handling themselves and their customers.

Agree

The behaviour, communication, and the principal in the void, also is the main thing here

As for Nectar 3 + its likely not more worth than the 12.50 bucks paid :D

Look forward to test it out though, but will wait and see what Izotope does, (if the license remains working IRL) ,.. before wasting further time on this mess

Izotope could very well be dropped by me also ,.. alongside ADSR ,.. in the future

Trusted them with one of the previous Music Production bundles

But now see myself deadended from upgrading IRL due to only a few significant Izotope news

Insteadt they just threw in hordes of garbadge from Plugin Alliance ,.. that I already own

Considered the upgrade price, generally, even on "discount", it makes no sense,..

Guess many bundle-owners, and loyal customers, are "honored" this way, should be just oposite

The new parts of MPS are Ozone 10 and RX 10. To say the only things added were some Plugin Alliance stuff is a bit unfair.

That said, whether those new versions add features that are important to you or not is a different matter. If they’re not adding anything you need, just skip them. Personally, I’m still on Ozone 8 and RX 7.

Agreed.

And just my humble opinion here: some of PA’s plugins are really good - even some of their older products - I think it’s more about seeing their reputation in question because of their plugin pricing; which can literally be all over the place.

I reached saturation before I got to PA. And I feel iZotope are good plugins, so I believe the same as true with PA. But iZotope pushes a constant treadmill and to me, it seems they're pushing version upgrades and that pricing for updates that should be part of previous versions. They just don't seem to be anything major to justify the price. Likewise, I can't think of anything in my account that's really worth as much as they were. Given what I see in second hand sales, PA seems to be as close to a budgetary loss as well.

But knowing that ADSR is from a country that writes their laws to favor themselves does warrant consideration in avoiding them as well.

I wonder who’s going to buy soundwide when di*k inevitably runs it into the ground.

I only got Nectar as part of a bundle but for people producing pop music this shouldnt be slept on. Its the best combo processor to get a modern commercial vocal sound on the market
Sure fire way to add 2 seconds latency to any project too.
modern DAWs compensate for latency

Not when you're trying to play keys in live they don't. At least in my experience.

Thats exactly how delay compensation works here with Cubase 12. Also you can process and print the vocals and turn off Nectar or just get the sound you want on vocals and turn off processing and print later. The point is Nectar can get you radio ready vocals faster than anything Ive ever used. Only posting this for people who record vocals cause this plugin would be easy to miss

Yes, it's good. My comment wasn't so much about its quality as it was about its popularity. I actually think iZotope should help ADSR here because this is the most press Nectar has gotten in years.
