Big Geist fan here
Running the Geist 2 demo. I like what I see, but why did you change the time stretch features? Lots of my vocal samples, that are BPM labeled, differ in sample length although they have the same BPM. So Geist won't automatically give the right BPM conversion. In Geist 1 I could manually enter the right source BPM (and the right DAW/Geist BPM).

Same here, I've raised a ticket with FXPan.bhy wrote:I personally can't get the demo running at all on my Win7 64-bit laptop.
The standalone app and VST both crash on startup.

There was a sizeable beta team for a considerable chunk of time - but given the number of graphics cards, OS & driver versions out there, it's inevitable that we've not hit every possible combination. As with Strobe2, the new vector UI pushes GPUs pretty darn hard for a 2D application.
Anyone getting crashes, please open a support ticket @ FXpansion and it will be looked in to ASAP. Do provide crash logs if you can.
Also note that the minimum system requirement is Windows 7 SP1 - Win7 before SP1 won't work.

Not to diminish others issues but I have to agree...no issues so far on my Mac either. Hopefully that'll be the case across the board real soon.woodsdenis wrote:No issues so far here on a Mac. Well done Angus and team this is, a stellar update well done.

Is there a user friendly way to adjust the color settings of the UI, or will there be one?

@AngusFX I dont suppose you could create a static GUI at fixed resolutions for those who find the CPU usage too high?
You know something people could choose as they saw fit. I'm not so sure if it would help but it might?
Maybe in a future version?

How about open in standalone and click on the word 'filter' uner the waveform?UncleAge wrote:Not to diminish others issues but I have to agree...no issues so far on my Mac either. Maybe my mac has a tricky config - it's a Mac, running the graphics card that come with a Mac and the OS that comes with a Mac. The latest one. Edge case, I guess...

Works fine here... No crashes on Mac (using the graphics card that comes with a Mac and the OS that comes with a Mac) Yosemite 10.10.5. I've only been working in standalone so far, but I'll switch to using in Live soon.samsam wrote:How about open in standalone and click on the word 'filter' uner the waveform?UncleAge wrote:Not to diminish others issues but I have to agree...no issues so far on my Mac either. Anyone have these issues in standalone (OS X 10.10) with sampling?
Does not work with Soundflower as audio input, trying to route audio from another application.
Trigger mode set to Midi, it ignores the set duration and records continuously until the stop button is pressed.
Assign set to next layer and pad, crashes when starting on the next pad.
The first issue I can get around if not using standalone and using the DAW to send audio to Geist. But would like to use standalone.
