Zebra 3 feature suggestions

Zebra 2 will continue to receive updates. No reason to hobble new software with unnecessary compatibility issues.

I agree that it would be nice, but it would put the burden of many months on us (to find close matches between old and new), and still not sound identical. We would still have to support and maintain Zebra2, but we could not possibly sell it anymore to support the maintenance. I think from an economical point of view we would have to stick to Zebra2 and simply call it 3 and forgo the larger reworking that we have already done and those which are still ahead.
In the grand scheme of things we want to do like Synapse did with Dune: Make a new, better version and keep selling the old version as an entry level solution. This is win-win because we can still make money from it and thus support it for years to come, to the benefit of existing users.

Forget the development rubbish because that takes up valuable time and and time is money...
So just whack a 3 on the current Zebra and the problem is solved once and for all..

Slap a coat of paint on the GUI,add a bauble and a couple of beads and it's a new creation...

Maybe already posted but I cannot read the whole thread !
* an online help would be great (because I don't know the differences of all options and opening a PDF is way too annoying), by enabling tooltips for example
* currently the editing of harmonics in SpectroBlend is not really possible : the bars are way too small, I cannot know precisely where a bar is, no numbering, no zoom, the number of harmonics is not a setting etc.
* an oscilloscope would help when changing the waveform
* the MSEG is very difficult to edit, I cannot remember the shortcuts and the icons are weird which doesn't help so it's complicated
* presets are often useless, I think they are more like demo
* modules are always moving depending of new modules added or deleted
* in the end I found Zebra way too complicated to edit, so I don't use it much and it's too bad

You need to read the whole manual and become friends with Zebra. It's in fact quite fast to edit in great majority of cases.
I disagree that Zebra's presets are "mostly useless", there's tons of extremely useful stuff in there. Plus you can always make your own sounds, of course.
MSEG shortcuts aren't that many of them. Alt/Opt+click to add or remove a node. That's it (I do wish it were a double-click, but double-click is a zoom to fit). All other options are on right-click menu.
Of course modules would always be added at the bottom of the list of modules, that's kind of what dynamic allocation is all about. However there's an option to always show the module that's selected in the grid on top. Right-click the scrollbar area of left or right panes for that.

I know that but when I makes music, I don't want to read the manual because it brokes my feelings, I want to reach the sound as fast as I can. I don't want to quit the music domain.
I'm working in IT and reading manuals is a big part of my job so when I'm making music, I'd like to go quicker.
Softwares are whatever we want. The only limits are imagination and time. Ergonomic is a key point to success. It's not the number of functions. MS Word is a software with billions functions but a majority of users know 10%. Why ? Bad ergonomics.

You could say that for almost any software (that majority of users know 10% of functions), so that's not really a valid argument
I'm saying, read the manual when you're NOT making music. Separate a day where you just go through the manual and explore functions as you read along. It will do wonders, trust me. You cannot expect to magically know things solely by intuition without giving any effort to explore what a thing can do. That just doesn't work.

I guess that's why Hans Zimmer decided to concentrate on one synthesizer and get fully familiar with it.
