Hi Urs would you please implement some filters like steiner park filters or nice filters that have a nice squelcy resonance but does not lose bass definition and bass response.. and a comb filter with key tracking like hive.. remember the prototype synth you did before repro? There where really nice filters in that module!Urs wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2024 7:42 pm What's left development-wise - apart from oscillator fine tuning - is a few months of filter design, a lot of refinements on Comb filters and physical modelling, a lot of UI work. None of these things are equally as complex as the oscillator. Many of these things have been under development for years, without ever being shown in similar ways as the oscillator/MSEG. Oh, I forgot the FM-Oscillators, which I've gotten pretty far, but am not entirely happy with.
There are certainly also a gazillion of other little bits and bobs. And of course the whole vast task of preset design, documentation, web stuff etc.

Urs, is CLAP capable of Full End-to-End 64-Bit Floating Point Processing?Urs wrote: Fri Feb 16, 2024 11:29 pm There is no hope for VST2. We have updated to the latest and greatest version of VST3, which comes with the provision of ending VST2. We double-checked this with Steinberg: Within the next 12 months or so we have to remove VST2 from all our releases. By then our transition to CLAP as our internal format needs to be complete, i.e. not only our plug-ins but all our internal testing tools will be rewritten to use CLAP instead of VST2.
And a second question: Do your plug-ins run internally at 64-Bit FP? Or is it 48-Bit Fixed or 32-Bit FP? Thank you.

We use 32 bit floating point wherever possible. 64 bit processing is, well, probably more visible in marketing materials than it is audible in sound. There are cases where it has advantages, e.g. in ancient DSP algorithms, but often enough it just wastes memory and CPU cycles.

Thank you for the answer Urs. May I ask two more questions? Will there be an option to switch Zebralette's rounded (keyboard) keys to traditional looking flat keys?Urs wrote: Sun Jun 02, 2024 1:01 pm We use 32 bit floating point wherever possible. 64 bit processing is, well, probably more visible in marketing materials than it is audible in sound. And since you mentioned Twangström a few times here, is it possible to add infinite decay to Twangström for sound design? Infinite decay for Uhbik reverb would also be very welcome. Thank you again Urs.

We’re currently focusing on a huge amount of work ahead of us. I can’t currently say where we go from there…

Not everything needs to be there for the initial Zebra 3. There's always 3.1, 3.2, etc.surreal wrote: Sun Jun 02, 2024 6:50 amHi Urs would you please implement some filters like steiner park filters or nice filters that have a nice squelcy resonance but does not lose bass definition and bass response.. and a comb filter with key tracking like hive.. remember the prototype synth you did before repro? I remember when Hive 1.0 came out, it was born out of research done for Zebra 3. It was 9 years ago. Its crazy how time flies.

Urs showed a black theme for Zebralette 3 here:
But Zebra CM is based on Zebralette 2, not the new 3 version.

Black theme would be all that I need. The current theme doesn't have a good contrast (white and blue on grey background) and didn't feel pleasant to my eyes. That's why I only used Zebralette for around 20 minutes in total even though I'd like to spend countless hours in it.
So even if the next patch would only include the dark theme I would be more than happy.

Besides, this thread is about Zebralette 3. Of course Zebra 3.0 will include filters and combs.pdxindy wrote: Sun Jun 02, 2024 11:55 pmNot everything needs to be there for the initial Zebra 3.
