No, but there is a crossgrade available to go from the PSP 85 delay to the PSP 285 for $28.50, though the email they sent out in December with the crossgrade offer makes mention that the PSP 85 will no longer be updated going forward.

Here’s my $75 PA Loyalty Voucher, for whoever needs it. Seems it’s only valid until tomorrow ($99 spending minimum). Enjoy!

How do you get such a high voucher? I've got an account full of plugins but I can only activate 6 a month.

I think it’s something to do with how much you spend at PA over the course of a year (I believe there’s a minimum annual spend vs. quantity of plugins owned). I came across an explanation once in a forum, but don’t remember the threshold & if I saw it here, VI Control, or on the PA Gearspace thread.

That makes sense I've never figured it out seems silly how hard they make it to give them money. That said I've never spent anything directly on the store besides activating and the 4 for $40 deal they did a couple months ago

Agreed their current pricing structure is not one of my favorites

In PA pricing strategies, I see a very dynamic and creative channel of actions.
Mostly geared towards offering various paths for different customers segments: Higher prices for those who can't wait (typical higher income studios or busy ongoing musical projects) together with descending prices according to the time past since launch or depending on very specific, usually short lapse-limited campaigns or else access limitations...

Which in fact means discriminating prices as a way of extracting the highest value from the different consumer bases, in this case, accessing large ones. Many times in novel, innovating forms.
Actually nobody is sure what campaigns will come in effect in the future, only tendencies that may very well vary.

Quite some years ago I spent large sums for plugins that nowadays sell for coupons and not much more. Am I hurt by this? Not at all now, since I've been able to buy many novel plugins through a mix of checking new technologies (the use of my own time) and careful attention for the right moment. In sum, I was able to tune my purchases with my consumer style. I like to investigate what is released, have time for this anyway and am attentive at places like this.

Thanks to Plugin-Alliance. A gratitude that might be symmetrical with theirs as sellers, since their strategy is proven to be a resounding success.

Yes PA for sure knows who they are marketing to, and cleverly price items to appeal to musicians of all skill levels and budgets. Personally I mostly miss pre-soundwide PA, when sales felt like cheating the system in a way, and seemed to be more frequent/generous. Not saying it’s not the case anymore, just feel like things are a little different now :ud:

You probably own most of the catalogue, that plays the part in that feeling.
The other thing is they became very predictable, which is not fun anymore. Right now, they could just set those prices to the real ones.

Yes to specify I have most of the ones I need from them at this point. And agreed about the predictability.
