Am I lost?
Black Friday is just past and we are at a few hours from CiberMonday. Ok, I had not much time to check things around and also live far from the states in a rather quiet country, but this time of the year was supposed to be big, BIG on promotions, last years there was even a dedicated thread here... and what do I read now? Moderation and activation posts!!!

I've been the whole year expecting for a few special promos to sprout... (nothing yet), and this past October I almost miss a huge promotion because of mostly checking this and the Bargain thread, luckily sometimes do check the Dontcrack private deals, and Uncle E's JRR specials.

Is it the case that the late 2014 everything's dead promotion-wise, or is that the flock has moved elsewhere... or is either just a very fertile music time for everyone here, the solar x-flares, possibly?

Gribs, same thing happened to me just now, bruteforced it until I found the missing character. I doubt it will collide with anyone elses, but hopefully Arturia will be able to clean up the mess.

Yep, missing a character too... guessed it was number so only took seconds to find the right one.

I don't think activation numbers are unique or keyed to anyone else; the serials are but the activation numbers are generated somehow using an algorithm and have no bearing on anyone elses code.

Could anyone give an recap of last year's black friday deals (apart from time&space and waves). Would be nice to know what we might expect this year. Anything particularly special last year or just a load of $10 off deals.

If you go through the history of the big marketplace thread, you can find some of them around the end of november. Though the main BF/CM thread was deleted as this time last year Ben decided, at the WORST possible time ( :cP @ Ben ) to upgrade the server... so the temp data (and thus that BF/CM thread) was deleted when the new software was installed.

Usually Waves gives away a plugin (One Knob Louder in 2012 iirc, and Ren Bass in 2013), IKM had a half off sale, Camel Audio had half off Alchemy through the end of December, and a bunch of other 25-70% off sales. Musicians Friend has had some really nice discounts too on software... excellent if you are in the USA.
