Interesting and in accessible price. Excellent . Just a few days ago I was watching a video of a clever sampler. In this case Tracktion does not have an online manual https://www.tracktion.com/training/manuals. Watching the video and online texts about it, it fastly says check the over 600 presets and the long searched for stored samples, to then mangle those with the synth built in capacities.

Then I noticed that each extension available costs $50...

So, without further search I have not yet been able to discern; is it a sampler in the sense that I may load (my own) sounds, hopefully in HiRes format, and then its engine and algorithms (of choice, ideally) will pitch load the keyboard octaves properly. Is it?

You can load your own WAV files into and it and change tuning, key tracking, etc.

It's kind of buggy. When I load a sample, the browser window will not close, obscuring alot of the mentioned controls, the rest I find a bit uninspiring.

I'm eh about it. I won't use it again. $10 lesson learned.

Yeah, you need to click "Browse" a second time to close the window.

As an aside, I found myself wondering how some of the included presets seemed to use multisamples, but found no mention of them in the manual. I tried loading a soundfont (sf2) and it worked. Not only for things like pianos where they have a sample per octave, for example, but also drumkits with a single hit per key. This makes it much more useful IMO.

is the video of the sampler I mentioned watching.

Not only allows to load user samples in wav, aiff and nks creating user multisampled instruments and set them in .nks, but its drag-n-drop, repitch, autoloop and effecting auto engine is as friendly as I've seen... (just watch the 7min video).
