My opinion: Stay away. Mediocre sound quality, spam, regular crashes, dozens of problematic products instead of a few good ones. And William has been banned here which will have good reasons. There are better ways to spend 20 bucks.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Jun 16, 2023 10:43 am Since the (probably 20th) time I tried unsubscribing from Wusik emails over the years I haven’t had any more since last year so there is a very slight chance he has learned his lesson.

Oh should have said, that is also my advice. He even started sending the equivalent of begging letters at points, just not worth the hassle either on a plugins level or a personal one.ralfrobert wrote: Fri Jun 16, 2023 10:57 amMy opinion: Stay away. To be fair it's not a "company" it's just William. I don't think his wife even helps any longer.agharta wrote: Thu Jun 15, 2023 4:22 pmWusik are still spamming people 2 or 3 years after they made a purchase.ralfrobert wrote: Thu Jun 15, 2023 1:25 pm Wusik has had very deep discounts for a long time, so this one seems to be ok. If you really want Wusik stuff, that is.
They create new email addresses to get around the fact that you have blocked all the older ones.
The worst company I have ever dealt with.
Wouldn't install even if free.
The Wusik Story is a long one here at KVR. It started out very promising with Wusikstation which despite its bugs is still one of the best wave sequencing synths on the market.....or at least it was until version 7 or so.
William is a brilliant coder but....he has "issues" which I won't bring up again.
His constant struggle to pay the bills has caused him to sell his products at bargain prices over and over as we see again with this "mega-sale".
If you see anything with "pre-order on it" stay far away as there is a chance those products will never get finished as we have seen in the past.
I used to hold William in contempt for his behaviour here but these days I just feel sorry for him. In the early days he was actually a really nice guy and a very talented coder. There was no indication to me at the time that he would experience such a decline due in part to the "issues" I won't go into again. The whole story which I consider to be quite sad is on KVR if you're curious or bored.
But for $23 is it worth rolling the dice? Some of those products he offered for free a while back so I already have them. I haven't spent a lot of time with them but they seemed to work if I remember correctly. At one point Wusikstation was one of my favorite synths and there was a lively community surrounding it in the early days.
I'd say if there are product demos then try those before considering a purchase. It's hard to recommend making any purchase from Wusik but this is such low price, like I said you could roll the dice after a little due diligence.....

^^^Fair points and good of you to bring up the nuances to the situation. My deal these days is I'm actively avoiding buying any more music production software/samples/whatever (unless I view it as exceptionally good) as it all just ends up accumulating and never gets used. Maybe even gets in the way of actually being productive. This deal seems like just another one of the many purchases that would just take up space on harddrives...

I don't need more compressors.

Forever and ever spam from multiple addresses. I haven't had any in a while now but once he gets going there's no stopping him. Seriously, I don't have it in for the company as such. It is what it is but this guy just takes the spamming to the extreme and then takes it further. No emails for years and then another onslaught out of the blue.BBFG# wrote: Fri Jun 16, 2023 10:37 pm I wouldn't get involved with Wusik even if he paid me to. And any "demo" that could be offered would surely come at being spammed ad nauseam. Again not worth it.

yeah I was pretty disappointed with the added stuff, seems like mainly amps that I would never use. I do want the compressors though but not enough to buy the bundle of pay just for them.wangeroge wrote: Sat Jun 17, 2023 12:33 amSoftube only included one of the Model synths in Volume 6???

Yes, got my first round of email attack this morning. I noticed he was playing his give me sympathy card which is a part of his usual cycle of abuse. Along with emotional upheavals all mixed in with the other prior parts of honeymoon phase promises of vapor ware. Coming up on claims of completed success of 3/4 done coding and moving on to his next great scheme. And there's usually a blowup blaming of any customers realizing they're being abandoned and abused by this whole cycle. Whatever he claims or promises, don't buy into it.Aloysius wrote: Sat Jun 17, 2023 1:45 amForever and ever spam from multiple addresses. He's turned internet catfishing into an art of panhandling. Something else I noticed long ago was he actually got other people here to code and debug while always taking credit for doing it all by himself. (Although he would sometimes refer to himself as a we and often in the third person.)
(I also think he has several ghost accounts here that are used to try and pump interest.)
Yes, I wish him well. But not at the expense of others.

I hate to see someone go down like that. It was great at the turn of the century when he had a great magazine and there were 3rd party presets. I dropped Wusik since there were no updates and only paid upgrades. I have no idea what he can do to be forgiven. Trying to use sympathy is a poor way of marketing.Teksonik wrote: Fri Jun 16, 2023 6:19 pmTo be fair it's not a "company" it's just William. It’s terribly sad
To be largely forgiven, he’d simply have to follow through on his promises/commitments including debugging/supporting his paid-for products; and stop his forever spamming. Common sense, really.
But his behavior has been over-the-top for a while, now, so I stay away
