Just bought it on the UAD sale because who'd expect UAD to devalue their products. Well.... It's a great synth!VitaminD wrote: Tue Aug 01, 2023 11:26 pm Polymax is essentially free right now it seems. The free trial of Loopcloud immediately rewarded the Polymax license.

When they started doing their half off and coupon experiment I was really surprised by their actions. I guess this is just the end result of that.Vleker wrote: Wed Aug 02, 2023 2:00 pmJust bought it on the UAD sale because who'd expect UAD to devalue their products. Well.... Maybe we'll see other UAD native plugins for free or near free in the future though?

I can understand that. I'd be upset if I bought this at a retailer like thomann or sweetwater for 100 dollars only to discover its being offered for free with a trial (or 8 dollars at the lowest monthly sub) elsewhere.

Now the new EZkeys 2 is out, I'd like to upgrade, but do they ever do discounts on upgrading at Toontrack , does anyone know please?

I feel like Toontrack doesn't discount stuff as easily as they used to. I scooped up some great deals in the past but haven't seen any great discounts since the release of EZD3 and EZK2hotmitts wrote: Wed Aug 02, 2023 6:09 pm Now the new EZkeys 2 is out, I'd like to upgrade, but do they ever do discounts on upgrading at Toontrack , does anyone know please?

I was interested, but I'd rather not give them my credit card info for a trial, so I will pass.VitaminD wrote: Tue Aug 01, 2023 11:26 pm Polymax is essentially free right now it seems. The free trial of Loopcloud immediately rewarded the Polymax license.

If you have Paypal you can use that and turn off the "automatic payments" access for Loopcloud in Paypal so they have no way to charge you without you approving of it. That's how I handled it along with canceling the subscription about a minute after downloading Polymax.

The Polymax license comes via a discount code to use at pluginbotique, so easy to redeem. I canceled my trial immediately after getting it also. The UAD requirement to download their activation program and ilok on top of that is super annoying tho

A price rise i can understand, but double is just rude.

Think of the people who bought Plugin Alliance plugins at full price.VitaminD wrote: Wed Aug 02, 2023 2:42 pm I can understand that. I am surprised, that people are not massively pissed off.

For sure. It seems more often than not these days it is better to wait 6 months to a year after the release of a product for the sales. Because there generally are huge sales on most audio software.blue monk wrote: Thu Aug 03, 2023 1:26 amThink of the people who bought Plugin Alliance plugins at full price.VitaminD wrote: Wed Aug 02, 2023 2:42 pm I can understand that. That said, if you're just starting out it's never been easier to find high quality audio software for such a low price. We're all spoiled!
