Hi Uncle E,
Are you going to add Baby Audio BA-1 Expansion Bundle (and individual Expansions) to your website?
I am possibly interested in the bundle. Thanks!

Sorry, I'm not seeing that on their dealer page.

It's worse for some of the PA stuff. Like that amek console that was going for 400 or 500 dollars then was down to 30 bucks on sale. hahahaha

Price point to buy PA plugins is $15. You can get cheaper eg last month 2 for $50 minus the monthly voucher. But $15 is the price to pay unless you need stuff immediately. And I guess as pro you might be sent a project with a plugin you need. But then if you're that person, you have the sub.

It's even more like $5 a key if you have time and are willing to accumulate off the sell thread and activate a few a month. For immediacy IKs stuff is as good for a hobbyist and you can get everything from them for about $100 as well.

I think it's comparable to Videogames in the sense that day one you pay full price in a month you see it around 50% off and in a year it's 90% off or free. If I was making money with music and used lots of presets I would be buying everything day 1 because if I use a preset I would want to be the one who owns that sound. I suspect that there is a whale aspect to the industry and that's really the bread and butter and then you just try to squeeze the retail side for whatever might be left.

I have a Plugin Alliance related question: can a buyer purchase, let's say, 2 PA plugins from one seller, and then purchase 2 more PA plugins from a different seller, and have them all available under the buyer's PA account name all at once (as long as all the transfers have completed), and therefore allow dynamic discounts can be applied to all 4 plugins?

Dynamic discount on transfer fees worked for me in the past, purchased from different users. Two transfers would be $32, then use the $25 voucher to drop it to $7. Not sure if it still works that way.

Yes, dynamic discounts do indeed apply to license transfer fees. My question is more along the lines of "stacking up" plugins, from different 3rd party sellers, and then "buying them" all at once. I've only purchased PA plugins directly, so I don't know if A) this is possible (i.e., multiple sellers all transferring to my account name, or B) all combined license transfers need to come from the same seller.kevinsparks wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 3:48 am Dynamic discount on transfer fees worked for me in the past. Mine came from different sellers, and still got the discount

Thanks for the clarification! Upon further review, I must have glossed right over the part in your previous post that said your purchased plugins came from different users [sellers].kevinsparks wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 4:03 am Mine came from different sellers, and still got the discount

They just accumulate as unactivated licenses you can then activate 6 for $23 with the monthly voucher (or close to that don't remember off the top of my head) so when people dump their accounts for 2-3 a key you can get decent deals.2:43AM wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 4:41 amThanks for the clarification! I've had problems with dynamic discounts on PA license transfer fees in the past. For quite a while they wouldn't be applied due to some sales going on that disabled dynamic discounts for the the entire site. But even after the sale was over, I just wouldn't get my dynamic discount on transfer fees. I contacted their support, they couldn't fix it. In the end they activated the licenses without a need to pay the fee, which is great, but it's still annoying that the discounts sometimes don't work and one has to take the time to contact them.
