Retrigger ...
I'm trying to get my head around No Reset ... not exactly seeing how it is different than Normal.
BTW ... if you want all the sequences to always sync, then they should all be set to Hard Sync, correct?
But when do they start when in Hard Sync? At the next grid or when the first played sequence repeats?

It's on the list for 1.1, it's quite a bit of work, and if I don't get v1 released soon I swear I'll go insane
I'll investigate though..
sk -> sorry I only update the demo version with solid versions as it's public, there will be one soon.

Andy, I've polled the other beta testers, and we think it would be better if you didn't go insane until after v3.5.Astralp wrote:It's on the list for 1.1, it's quite a bit of work, and if I don't get v1 released soon I swear I'll go insaneI'll investigate though...

To make the timing of getting insane a bit more spectacular please do consider move it forward to version 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592307816406286208998628034825342117067982148086513282306647093844609550582231725359408128481117450284102701938521105559644622948954930381964428810975665933446128475648233786783165271201909145648566923460348610454326648213393607260249141273724587006606315588174881520920962829254091715364367892590360011330530548820466521384146951941511609 or something like that.como baila wrote:Andy, I've polled the other beta testers, and we think it would be better if you didn't go insane until after v3.5.Astralp wrote:It's on the list for 1.1, it's quite a bit of work, and if I don't get v1 released soon I swear I'll go insaneI'll investigate though...

////// BETA 31
* Lower tempos could be 1 step late when triggered.
* Solo Off Button added to the main Sequencer page which releases the solo to save going back to the mixer page.
* Finally tracked down the load bug puzzle (thanks Como), I'm 99.9% confident!
* More presets added.
* Changed Chan16 Hold label to Pitch Hold

I'll take credit for finding the "lower tempos ... " too.Astralp wrote:////// BETA 31

I think, if this is stable, you've pretty much got a wrap Andy. Only other thing I think would be important for a v1.0 would be the save/ load individual sequencer pages. One of the Sugarbytes sequencer ... cannot remember which one, does something like this where you can mix pages between presets. I haven't tried, but I am assuming you can open a preset, copy a page, open another preset and paste the page. Correct? Anyway, save/ load pages would be a tremendous tool for user preset development.
BTW ... if you get a chance ... I think you missed my questions about Retrigger at the top of this page?

You're explanation helped me fill in the blanks. 128 starts from msb 1 and is lsb 0, kinda similar to your bank system in vortex.Astralp wrote:As far as I know you can't have a bigger number than 127, but there is a fine control CC for RPN/NRPNs which I think is used as a multiplier to achieve bigger values, perhaps they are talking about that?musikmachine wrote:It's just 3 and 4 so i'll keep using it. Btw how do you translate nrpns that go beyond 127, a lot of the mophos go into the hundreds but the highest lsb i can input is 127 in the A300 Pro's editor.
Then there are global controls which start from 384 which don't respond on msb 2 but most of the main controls are assignable!
I have a simple FR; access the manual from the start menu.

HoorayF! My load 'squash2scale' is working!
Two very minor points ... but ones I am sure will come up sooner than later.
The coloring on the 'feedback' keyboard in the global section: shouldn't the coloring of the Repitch octave move when you change the pitch octave mode to the new octave? ... or disappear when you 'disable?'
I think I mentioned this one before ... and I'm not sure this would be any easier. If it is too difficult show the 'held' key to continue to look like a depressed key on the Repitch octave ... which would be the ideal, how about a tiny red light row above that octave with the light on for the currently 'held' key?

Great!HoorayF! My load 'squash2scale' is working!
That one was on my list, it's now done in the next version.The coloring on the 'feedback' keyboard in the global section: shouldn't the coloring of the Repitch octave move when you change the pitch octave mode to the new octave? ... or disappear when you 'disable?'
I've now re-coded the pitch hold so that it uses the same system as the main hold. Vortex has sacrificed the channel 16 pitch change as a result though, but I don't think it's actually needed anymore, there are plenty of pitch options now in both seq modes.I think I mentioned this one before ... and I'm not sure this would be any easier. Well it was back in January when I worked on this bit so there's a chance it's broken, but the idea is that it is hard synced to the host clock as though the sequences are always playing and pressing a key just lets them play.I'm trying to get my head around No Reset ... not exactly seeing how it is different than Normal.
Yep that's right, again a long time ago I worked on this, but as I remember the first triggered sequence becomes the tempo/clock and all hard synced seqs will use that tempo and position to play back.BTW ... if you want all the sequences to always sync, then they should all be set to Hard Sync, correct?
But when do they start when in Hard Sync? At the next grid or when the first played sequence repeats?
I'll revisit these to make sure they are working as they should when I get a chance.

Maybe I wasn't clear. In 31beta, when I engage/ depress a Repitch octave key, I see it go to a darker color, just as the keys triggering the sequencer or effects do. But, with 'Hold Repitch' set globally, when I release the Repitch octave key, it returns to the lighter color ... even though it actually remains engaged until/ unless I depress a different key in the Repitch octave.Astralp wrote:I've now re-coded the pitch hold so that it uses the same system as the main hold. I am wanting visual feedback as to which Repitch key is depressed. Ideally, once depressed it would simply stay the darker color even after I'd released the physical key ... until I reset it to a different Repitch key.
So, I wish either by having the key hold its darker color or by a little red light above the key on the global keyboard ... I could always quickly see which repitch key was engaged.
Make sense?

Yes I understood I think, it now lights up on the key when it's pressed and when another one is pressed the old one is released and the new one takes it's place, so you can always see the last pressed if Pitch Hold is on
