Yes, Sir.K-Slash wrote:That's great ! So it can do : FET, OPTO, VCA ?sascha wrote:3. presswerk can be any compressor you want it to be. as with satin, it's sort of a construction kit.
Here (this was just a quick hack for the Messe, we'll change that):K-Slash wrote: But what about a Neve 33609 for example, which as a distinct saturation going on?
Any chance to have a look at the GUI and the controls ?

Using the traditional comp controls, in conjunction with 'nonlin' and the ff/fb button, you could create any type of compressor.
The saturation & warmth controls are dependent on one another, but not on the gain reduction itself. The sat/warmth section is located after the gain reduction element. But that also means, things get more interactive in fb mode.
No further words on the warmth control at this point, other than that you need to hear it yourself, and that it's sort of a 'WTF?' control.

Those are the sort of controls I like best. Could you please place it conveniently between the OMFG! and LOLZ! buttons?sascha wrote:[...] No further words on the warmth control at this point, other than that you need to hear it yourself, and that it's sort of a 'WTF?' control.

Alright, fair enough.sascha wrote:The saturation & warmth controls are dependent on one another, but not on the gain reduction itself. The sat/warmth section is located after the gain reduction element. But that also means, things get more interactive in fb mode.

Looking good already, but a bit too sad ("grey").

Mind you, the GUI is a mockup taken directly from Satin, 'gimp'ed by me in the hotel and on the booth the evening before the first Messe day...K-Slash wrote: Looking good already, but a bit too sad ("grey").
Don't worry, Satin's graphics guy (btw. the same guy who did most of the GUIs for my projects at Magix, including Vandal) will take care of it.
Exactly. From 'instantly' to 30ms, currently. The adaptive release is 'on top' of it, which allows for anything, from fast peak response with precise envelopes to optical behaviour with built-in inertia.david.beholder wrote:Does RMS window at 0 (leftmost position) mean peak compression?

I'm sure that the sounds will be as gorgeous as the GUI. Always have been a fan of your plugins.
